Well, they played TAAT before this. If anything, they should be grateful because it's the live debut of Ode to the Mets. It was absolutely beautiful and haunting hearing it for the first time. Everyone was mesmerised and it was before we knew "drums please, Fab" was an actual lyric.

MAGICAL. I was there and it will remain one of my greatest memories for the rest of my life. I could not even begin to repay these guys for all the joy their music brought to and continues to bring to my life. This show was an amazing celebration and I will never forget leaving--this is NYE--and the whole crowd was orderly and as you went into the subway were singing Last Nite!! I get chills recollecting the experience, thank you to The Strokes, GREATEST NYE OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!

Además ya traia problemas el año pasado, declaró en entrevistas que The Voidz era la banda donde se sentia comodo y le gustaba trabajar y The Strokes era donde "hacia caja", además de presentaciones como una en un festival si no me equivoco organizado por Eddie Vedder donde sin motivo aparente, o quiza sí, pero el publico no sabia, empezó a quejarse repetidamente en pleno concierto que ya no queria seguir tocando y que no deseaba volver nunca más. Y no me malinterpretes, el tío me cae bien, me parece un genio como artista y admiro sus trabajos, pero esta loco.

From 8:14 on The Modern Age you can clearly see the long haired dude on the side of the stage playing a small synth/midi controller. What is he playing exactly ? EDIT: Nevermind, it's a pedalboard. I'd say he's probably tap-tempoing a delay pedal but I see no reason why either, can't remember any guitars on Is This It having a delay.
