Heartbreaking ABANDONED HOUSE With EVERYTHING Left | Power Still On!

There was a time when this house was filled with joy. A grandfather holding his granddaughter, a place of warmth, of love, of memories. But time is cruel. And sometimes, the weight of the past becomes too heavy to bear. Born in the 1930s, Mr. Holmes grew up in a world vastly different from the one we know today. After serving in the army for most of his adult life, he longed for a quiet place to call his own. A place to build a future, a family, a home. He met his wife, and together they built just that. They raised a daughter, watched her grow, and spent decades side by side, filling the house with love, with laughter, with the everyday moments that make up a lifetime. But love, as beautiful as it is, can also bring the deepest sorrow. When his wife passed away, everything changed. Every room, object, every quiet moment was a reminder of what he had lost. The weight of it was all too much. So, one day, he left. He walked away from everything, his home, his cars, his furniture, without even looking back. Moving just an hour away, he wanted to start fresh, in a new house wth new belongings. He replaced everything, but some things couldn't truly be replaced. He spent his last years cherishing time with his daughter and granddaughter, capturing every moment through photos and videos, preserving the memories he was afraid to lose. Then, in 2021, he was taken to hospice care. The house, his old life, stood empty for just a year before he passed away. And now, it sits untouched, abandoned, frozen in time. Even now, electricity still runs inside. The power company placed a lien on the house, making the bills impossible to pay. His own family cant afford to reclaim what was once theirs. And so it remains…stuck between the past and the present. A house that was once a home, now a forgotten monument to love, loss, and the passage of time. This is, without a doubt, the saddest abandoned house I have ever explored.

When you’re young, life seems to stretch out before you in an endless stretch of possibilities. Then, one day you wake up-kids grown, spouse gone. And there you are. Where did the time go? That endless stretch is now more like an hour and a half lifetime movie. You guys do these explores so well. Life really does go by that fast-and we leave all of it behind. All that’s left are memories-and then, at some point, even those are gone. Well done.

Utility companies should NOT be allowed to put a lien against some ones home. All they had to do was shut off the power. That is very shady, and I think if I was the family i would sue the crap out of that power company.

I thought that was strange too, this doesn't happen in my country. Only the bank where the mortgage came from can take the property back. Utility companies just shut you off the grid when you don't pay

what makes this so much worse is the leyout of the kitchen is exactly like my moms kitchen, the view of the sink and windows and the cabinets above the stove and then the fridge gave me a chill

The least someone could do is plug a thumb drive or two into that computer, copy everything, and get it to the family. When my dad died, my mother left his computer untouched for years. I didn't find the family history files he left on there for us (he died suddenly) until she let me go through and copy anything relevant in case it failed. Pictures, stories, stuff that was literally irreplaceable until I pulled copies of everything off it. Knowledge, information especially in computer formats is something that can be taken from abandoned properties without damaging anything, and who knows what treasures are left behind until you do?

One has to wonder why the family did not take so many things out of this house, especially the computer with all those files and digital memories. I have never heard of a power company being able to place a lien on a property because of a bill not being paid, they simply shut the power off.
