I think Rarran should just full send the MTG skin and have a "declare attackers" and "declare blockers." "I want to attack with my 3 1/1s and my 8/8." "OK, I'll block the 8/8 with my 1/1 and the 1/1s can go face."
@andrewytp3 ай бұрын
Main phases and attack phase could be interesting too
@WiiMachinE133 ай бұрын
I was thinking the same thing but I think that the order actually does matter in some regards so I'm not sure if they'd want to make it so that the attacker picks order or the blocker. Since the blocker already gets an advantage since the game wasn't designed with blocking in mind I'd say give it to the attacker but like another comment said time would be a consideration then. I just also think it would be better if they had minions only able to block one other attacking minion (except for taunt obviously) so that it wouldn't just become, oh he has a 20/20 so now none of my minions can get through. Something to think about at least but this was great to watch. As a magic player though the not having a attackers and blockers phase was throwing me off a bit but still hilarious as always.

Great video, but not fully Magic combat. If it was true to Magic you'd declare every card you want to attack with that turn, not one at a time, then the opponent declares what blocks they will make then. Also cards that attacked the last turn can't block.

To most closely replicate mtg attacking, you should have to declare up front all attackers, then your opponent chooses targets, then you get to choose order of attacks. You could also limit it to one round of attacking each turn, so no attacking with anything summoned after you’ve declared attackers.

@joshcrigier82813 ай бұрын
Love the idea as a player of both games. One thing I’d recommend is setting all attackers and then other player can block as they see fit. Sending one attacker at a time gives an unbalanced benefit to the player with more minions on board I think or at least a benefit to the attacker. Great content Rarran keep it coming.

I mean it is a good effort to try and replicate the magic the gathering blocking rule, but it is not quite correct. I think that it would be better if the attacking player had to declare all attackers from the get go and the defending player could assign blockers(each minion of the defending player should be able to defend 1 time in magic). I think this would probably be closer to how blocking is done in magic.
@hugomendoza56653 ай бұрын
In terms of the video tho I think it would make it less watchable. I also think it would make it harder to remember which ones are declaring and which ones aren't, bc hs doesn't have the ui for it. Them saying it out loud one at a time makes the most sense in terms of actually playing it and then having it be a video to be watchable.
@slendydie12673 ай бұрын
@hugomendoza5665 I agree. It would be harder to watch cause each round one would have to say which ones of his 5 minions would attack and then the defender chooses how to defend. It would take twice as much time probably

AKSHUALLY, Magic Has taunt in "This Creature blocks if able." In that situation, the player who controls the creature gets to choose where it blocks. So you should be having the taunt controller decide where the attacks go. Nerd Moment. Over.
@izaiahsundquist68772 ай бұрын
When swinging in Magic, a creature can only block a single creature unless the card says otherwise. Additionally, you choose all your attacks at once and then your opponent chooses blockers. So if you do this in the future, these will be helpful to reduce the power of the Blocker's Advantage that I picked up on. *Rush* should also work as intend. You wouldn't know about this but there's a mechanic in Magic call Fight that functions as a pseudo-*Rush*

I lived in Italy and Sweden and the trash/recycling get's handles pretty much the same way: You have the Food bin where only food goes and you need to use a special brown paper bag that the government gives you for free Glass goes in a special bin, in Sweden it's sometimes divided between colored, clear and tin Plastic goes into a special bin Paper/Carton goes into a special bin Anything that's not those or it's hard to recycle just get's thrown in a general bin, where I used to live in Italy they introduced a card which gave you a certain amount of "uses" each month, you'd need to scan it to make the bin open and if you threw away too much nonrecyclable trash you'd get fined For electronics stuff there are special places that takes them in both countries

If you ever do this challenge again, go full on MTG rules: you call ALL the attackers before going into combat, and you can only swing with all your desired minions once, only 1 combat phase. Edit: also, you could treat Rush as a mix of Haste + Provoke (Haste can attack the turn it enters the field, Provoke as this creature can choose its blocker).

Rarran gets the magic rule wrong immediately though, because only one of the four minions in that early sequence could be blocked by a single enemy creature. That said, you also cannot stack multiple blockers onto one attacking creature like you could in magic, so actually giving the blocking player this advantage to compensate is probably good.

Time to do my part for the algorithm (and talk about garbage)! Around here, people usually have 4 seperate trash bins: Yellow is generally for plastic and stuff like aluminum cans (this bin is commonly replaced by bags). Blue is where paper goes. Black is for miscellaneous trash that isn't really reused, like bags from your vacuum cleaner or ash. Brown/Green is for biological waste, like food scraps. (there are some exceptions and caveats to each, these are just very broad descriptions) Where I live we have these 4 bins being emptied roughly every two weeks, with the exception of the blue one which is is emptied once per month. There's also public containers/places you can bring paper, glass bottles and jars as well as things like electronic devices or paint to. Drink bottles and cans are usually returned to a store to get back a small fee known as "Pfand" that you pay alongside the price of whatever you're buying. What exact combination of bins, containers etc. is available differs depending on where you live. And as some might've already guessed, this is the german system.
