Lyra demands an answer. Every. Single. Time. If it sticks a priest is almost guaranteed to win a game just like Fandral->Nourish. The second game where he purposely left it up with an answer in hand to pursue face damage was a blatant mistake because he couldn't guarantee a next turn victory against his worst case scenario from his opponent (greater healing potion, or god forbid 2x Healing potion). It may seem unlikely, but when you consider that only 5 standard priest spells are above 4 cost the odds that he would cycle himself into one when the majority are 2 cost or below isn't as outlandish as some would like to believe when he has 10 mana to play with.

I like Kolento's take on it - it's like leaving up Gadgetzan Auctioneer, if every single card the Auctioneer drew was a spell. A.K.A. not a good idea.

The priest had enough spells anyway and drawing into enough burst to trigger ice block would have been hard if he killed lyra. He couldnt kill the priest with a single card per turn anyway after that priest of the feast. Imo it was correct.

Hard, but not impossible. I honestly didn't pay attention to the order of how the secrets were drawn to see if it was guaranteed iceblock or possibly ice barrier. Regardless, I don't think he could have anticipated his opponent having priest of the feast in hand, despite seeing the priest play his first copy earlier, but the fact he had one made the situation that much worse. It basically meant that the priest didn't even need healing potion or binding heal to heal out of the burst he had in hand by cycling meaningless spells generated by lyra, where the majority of the spells were played from during that turn. In a burn out situation like that when you're the deck running out of steam, in what world would you let your opponent out-value you when you can't guarantee a one or two turn kill? It's just asking for it, imo.

Its not like its something you want to do. But if you kill lyra you lose in most cases. Because you would have to get the second fireball from your deck as your next card. The only winning lines I see while killing lyra is Fireball face, ping and thalnos. Then you have at most three or four draws before he kills you(and thats disregarding all the other stuff he could do). Or pyro face then you have one draw but it will be two turn lethal. The chances are pretty bad. Im really not sure with lyra but i think you have better chances hoping that he doesnt get any heals.

I think that quest is as bad or worst than warlock quest, as mutch as I like Spiritsinger Umbra ( a very powerfull card with the right support), I still think is bad.

i play priest because it's fun... and because i opened a Lyra... i am only like rank 4 tho but my win rate is pretty decent 21-13 for one deck... i get that it's not great always or anything but it's fun to play and it gave me a break from playing token druid and hunter... I net deck one of Kiblers deck and it's pretty fun. and it's pretty cool actually playing the cards and Elise fits in Priest and thats awesome i crafted that card and love it so far.

That last game, such skill! Randomly generated Vaporize kills an 8/8, randomly generated Pyroblast kills a 10/10, topdeck Meteor for the other 10/10, into randomly generated Polymorph for the 14/14. So all this RNG had to carry against a bad deck, not even against a good deck. The real "Ha Ha" here is how unearned Mage's games are right now.

Trump's predictions were that Priest would see no play like Hunter did last expansion. That was clearly dead wrong. A few cherry-picked games where he won with RNG-generated cards don't make Trump's predictions right. I like Trump, he is one of my favorite streamers, but his UnGoro predictions were pretty poor.

You obviously haven't seen the review video. He specifically mentioned, several times, that it wasn't about power level, but rather what would see play. Showing a half dozen priest games losing is exactly counter to that.

BadDude He didn't predict that priest would not be played by anyone. He predicted it wouldn't be a competitively viable class. "Priest won't see play" was a shorthand way of saying it. He explained his rating system pretty clearly. Priest is a tier 3 class, so he wasn't correct, but he certainly wasn't far off with his prediction.
