Hearthstone is a card game based on WOW, it is also a digital card game.
Legends of Runeterra is a 2020 digital collectible card game developed and published by Riot Games. Inspired by the physical collectible card game Magic: The Gathering, the developers sought to create a game within the same genre that significantly lowered the barrier to entry.

I really love the legends of runeterra guessing videos, Just because the 2 games are so different. Its so fun to see that 1 card would be unplayable in one and broken in the other

Ya I don't know anything about Heathstone but these are kinda fun to see what an outsider would think about the cards. Sometimes it's not even the card is bad as much as the cards around it simply don't justify using it. Then you have cards like Darius, who has been actually ok-ish for the longest time, but there are other champions that do the whole, is BIG and has overwhelm thing. Even in the same region like Sion who is big + has overwlem and will give you a free rally and is harder to kill/ they don't want to kill him and give you that free rally. Personally I like Darius more, just because, but I know he's sub-optimal for the role he fills.

It took me awhile to figure LoR card ratings. In HS, these cards are way too slow but spell mana and overall lower power rating are a thing

Although tbh it only goes one way, most playable cards in HS would be broken (with necessary support) in Runeterra, and I doubt there's a single card that's bad in Runeterra that would be good in HS

This also happens with hs to magic, I have seen a pro hs player looking at a 7 mana draw 7 cards. For him he was broken af cuz his direct comparison was a 7 mana draw 4 cards. Welp, that card is garbage in magic

@@showd6229 is less the "arcane is not canon" and more "they stop updating lore to prevent spoilers". Arcane was made with Zaun update the put Warwick in Zaun. as for victor he already got updated. he now has a clinic where he helps the victims of a disaster by giving them cybernetic limbs to replace their broken/missing ones. his new lore has him being the tech-priest herald by accident. no joke he doesn`t know he kickstarted a religion and a lot of followers don`t know who he is. he is just there helping people in a clinic.

I thought I'd clarify: Spells like Pyke's Death From Below or Bone Skewer or Draven's Whirling Death say: 'Ally Strikes an enemy'. This sentence can be missleading for HS player that has no experiance with this wording because what it actually means is that ALLY strikes an ENEMY but ENEMY *doesn't* strike back. They do strike back when card says that 'They strike eachother', so thats why Quick Attack on Pyke doesnt matter for his Death From Below attack. It does only for Pyke's regular combat.

Yeah, I think the key to these "surprisingly good" cards like Twisted Fate and Tribeam Improbulator in the last video, is tempo. Twisted Fate is essentially a pair of two-mana effects bolted together: summon a 2/2 and play a Destiny Card. Getting both of those for a single action is extremely strong, even without the versatility of the Destiny Cards. Same way Tribeam Improbulator is good card despite having individually weak effects: summoning an ally at the same time you remove an enemy is always going to be good, even if the ally and enemy are both weak.

i think that the value of the Destiny Cards and the scaling value of tribeam are slight better then the tempo they offer. They are both great effects that bennefit a lot from being played on tempo, but tribeam in specific actually gets potentially better the longer you hold it, and it can be considered kinda bad if you can´t upgrade its effect, as we have similar cards more concistent allthought in other regions.

Yeah, but there are other champs who get stats equal to their cost and another card affect or who just have keywords that make up for it while Tf just gets 2/2 quick attack and 2 spells that are 3 costs and blue card which would be like a 3 maybe 4 cost card and A MAJOR downside with tf is his cards speed is the fast type which basiclly means that even if you play a burst card it will still end that turn for you which is a MAJOR pain in the ass (theres also the guys like noc/tahm and litterly no one uses them because they are basically unplayable vs a real deck, well tahm is kinda playable but ya would need regen, hp increases and a few other things to make it work and unless you go for the 3 faction type its REALLY hard to get the good stuff for tahm)

Except for some exceptions. Anivia is too easy to disrupt, Karma is awful right now, Stun decks don't have enough payoff, Tahm Kench/Soraka are too passive and Maokai is still a bad joke.

You should do a similar concept but have people go through a deck build for the game they don’t play. Could give them some directions towards a meta deck and give a score based on how close it is to the net deck. Could be really interesting.

a little reasoning as to why Twisted Fate is so good is versatility he can be played to fill in a blank spot for any archetype in Bilgewaters deck because his destiny cards is very versatile in most situations. need a stun and slow down you opponents attack? Gold card. your opponents filled the board with small minions or do you just want to deal aoe damage to their board and nexus? Red card. board is pretty stable and not much to do? Blue card, and here's a mana stone in case you need one more mana for a spell next turn. heck sometimes you don't even want to level him up, just drop him down cast his destiny card and have him eat some high value spells for you, seriously people often put champions to high priority to remove without considering the whole idea of their opponents deck so they'll just throw removal at him when they had a chance eventhou there's really no good reason to consider him a threat.

Loving these videos! I think these are fun to watch both ways, whether it’s you guessing LoR cards or Snnuy guessing HS cards, but I’m also a former HS player and current LoR player so I understand both games’ card mechanics. Keep in mind that a lot of LoR players are former HS players! I’ve really been enjoying your videos on using HS cards from the past in the current HS meta that I remember being so broken! Jade, Death Knights, League of Explorers, etc. Keep it up!!

I was a massive Hearthstone player for a long time, then I switched to Runeterra. Now I play both pretty equally but only battlegrounds and path of champions. I love all content that involves creators from both games crossing over like this, going in both directions. If I can expect more in the future (doesn't have to be a rapid pace) then you've earned a subscriber.

OH! fun fact: Pyke is one of the few champions who's still pretty easy to get multiple of on the board at once due to the way death from below works. There used to be more ways to copy champs but it was highkey busted so they nerfed those cards to only copy followers.

Snnuy was a bit wrong about Fiora. I don't know what he was thinking about when he said Fiora wasn't that good before ths nerf. A deck with Fiora and a champion called Shen which gave barrier to the unit next to it while attacking was like one of the decks that remained in tier 1-2 from beta to the point it was nerfed like an year ago. And I loved pre-nerf Fiora.

Note on Draven to expand on what Snuuy said: Draven isn't necessarily a great card in and of himself, what makes him good is the way that he enables other discard synergies, which in turn empower him. In that regard he's a lot more support-y than a lot of other champions. Most noxus discard decks incorporate Draven, but build around a different discard-based champion (please note that I'm a lowkey noob and also... probably a dumbass so take everything I say with a grain of salt)

No no you’re both incorrect and correct, If you power him up to at least like 7+ power he can wipe out a board with his “An ally strikes an enemy”. He can be both offensive and a support champ in-game.

There's a meme version of Kalista deck with a Shadow Isles follower that revives a dead champion. Basically if the player can pull it off, everytime their leveled Kalista attacks she will revive an ephemeral version of that follower and that card revives another copy of the Kalista, basically you have infinite Kalista everytime you attack. Another is Taliyah wherein you can combo her skill with a spell called "Stasis" wherein you play it on an allied unit and they become a landmark with a 1 round countdown, you can use Taliyah on it and get another copy of that landmark. Very useful for big units or for champs like Ziggs that basically wins some games even.
