+TheRiisingSun its not that hard to "see the possibilities" for each card. but the question is - are the scenarios that you "see" probable? i.e - theres tons of "possibilities" with Hobgoblin. but is it viable to build a whole deck around it? not quite - at least not in a very competitive way. Think of the things you need to get this to work: A. you need to have 1 minion already on the board B. you need to have this in your hand C. you need to have some OTHER spell in your hand which you would like to cast now D. you need for the spell you want to cast to be valuable if you cast it on both minions (i.e - if it's +attack and it puts it in BGH range, it might not be so great) E. you need for the whole situation to be justified (i.e - not before any major AOE , etc.) (of course, B and A could be inverted) The combined odds for all these things are pretty low, since tons of things could go wrong : your other minion could have died by the hands of the opponent, you might have the djinni and no spell, you might have the spell but no djinni [and then what? you wait?] And this is without taking into account that if you build your deck around it youre already making certain sacrifices (i.e, putting more spells which target friendly minions and less alternative spells that kill enemy minions or do damage etc.) -- so if your "master plan" doesn't pan out (i.e both djinnis die) - the rest of your deck would be pretty weak and inconsistent.

Ironbark Protector is used. Not in the decks of players with nearly complete collections since they trade it in for Ancient of War at some point but Druids that are still working on collecting all the Epics needed for a proper ramp deck will usually run one and Arena Druids will usually pick them. Those types of players could possibly make use of a Fossilsaur in their non-Druid decks.

+MeldinX2 Not every card has to be viable in top ranked meta decks. The fact is that Ironbark is used. There are plenty of cards that aren't used, even by people with small collections. If a card is used but is later traded for something else that just means there's a better card with the same function available. In this case, both Ironbark and Ancient of War are Druid class cards while the Fossilsaur is a neutral so it's filling in a hole in the neutral set that previously only one class had cards for. That hole being expensive Taunt minions. The only other neutral Taunt that costs more than 6 is Chillmaw which is, of course, both Legendary and not ideal for non-dragon decks. I don't think Fossilsaur is a *great* card but I don't think it was a waste to print it. It fills a hole in the neutral set.

Handlocks usually lack 3-cost cards, and the possibilities of what you can do with him are amazing! - Double-Buffed Twilight Drake - Extra Healing in Healbots which could save you the game - Extra buffs on Defender of Argus - Spells cost 10 more per turn on Loatheb - Double the Doom bots on Dr. Boom - Replace your hero with Lord Jarraxus TWICE! Take Arch thief rafaam as an example. It is too slow, too control ish and too costy to fit in the current meta. Because you would either lose before you even get to play him or you would lose before you could use any of the "powerful artifacts" And even if you get to use the powerful artifacts, it would actually take another turn before they would do affect the game in any way, except for the timepiece of horror ofc.

amund solum You're using a wrong example here. Rafaam is a straight out worse Ysera. Cards you get are worse, body gets BGH'ed (which is far more prominent in the control meta) and you only get a single card. Ysera provides Dragon synergy too. If you were trying to justify something like Deathwing I could understand, but no, Rafaam is just terrible.

Opinions on Reno Jackson in Echo Mage? The list for Echo is very flexible and I think it's possible to make sure there aren't duplicates of anything, but I feel like there would be an issue in lacking 2 moltens/ice blocks/doomsayers/echoes.

I personally think Reno Jackson might be really good in Secret Paladin. The only catch is that you have to play a Mysterious Challenger first, more often than not, then play Reno turn 7. Or play MS turn 5 with the Coin and then Reno turn 6. I think it's worth a try.

I'm curious to try out Elise Starseeker in Zoo, might replace an egg or void terror. It's a good enough card to play on 4 and if it comes to that you are running into the late game. You still have a chance to draw the monkey to make the rest of the deck into legendaries, that are often large minions. Because of the minion focus in zoo you aren't giving up on any premium spells either. I'm probably wrong but it still sounds good to me so I'm going to try it out.

How does the map of the golden monkey work when you're in fatigue? For example, you're 2 damage into fatigue, you shuffle the monkey into the deck, you draw the monkey, and the turn after that is your fatigue reset to 1, or do you take 3 damage.

Summoning Stone works in Tempo Mage though. I've seen Pwnyhof use it to great effect many times. However, the deck isn't gonna get you rank1 legend but it's something that's pretty fun to play and pull off.

I was actually thinking if you put elise starseeker into the mill rouge deck. Wouldn't that increase the chances of you getting the golden monkey. And now that you will be playing Brann Bronzebeard, there is a chance that you will put 2 maps into your deck, doubling the chances of drawing it. Is that viable?

I think the gorilla bot is best seen as a Spider tank with +1 mana for the battlecry. Is that worth it? My own thinking is that it may very much depend on the meta. It's also interesting that this card might very well change the way people play by just existing, as you now have to make sure that there are no other mechs on the battlefield for at least the first few turns when playing vs mech. This might be hard, especially since we have the spider tank mentioned above. However I agree that it may be tough to compete with Shredder, maybe if the mech decks become more controlly?
