I had a warrior deck recently with 11 "2" drops in it. Weird draft. In one game I didn't see a single 2 drop until turn 5 and I even mulligan'd the opening hand. Only one fiery win axe though. :/

I don't want to be a douche or anything here because I really like your channel and love what you do but I just felt that I HAD to comment. You keep referring to the fact that its 'really unlucky' to not get a Fiery War Axe by so far in the game and you are genuinely astonished/surprised when you pull a card that isn't a Fiery War Axe (for example a 4/20 shot or whatever it was at that stage). Even though you have 4 Fiery War Axes remaining your chances of hitting that card on one draw are still low. At one point you said '25% of my deck left are Fiery War Axes' as if to say you should get one next, you are still a 3 to 1 underdog to get one next turn. I am genuinely surprised someone like you, who obviously is intelligent doesn't seem to understand odds properly. About halfway through (28:40) you state 'I've seen 8 cards and NONE of them have been Fiery War Axes. That's really bad luck actually, the odds are astronomical...' No they're not, here's the maths- 4/30 chance of getting a Fiery War Axe when you pull ONE card, so a 26/30 of not getting one. So if you have seen 8 cards then its: 26/30 x 25/29 x 24/28 x 23/27 x 22/ 26 x 21/25 x 20/24 x 19/23 which comes to a chance of 30% (roughly). I would hardly describe something that happens 30% of the time to be astronomical! Again, not trying to be a smart arse or anything but the inner mathematician in me couldn't stand for you to keep 'expecting' Fiery War Axes when the odds were still substantially against you.

Actually your maths are wrong. He had the four before hand, and then he redid it, so it would actually be more like 26/30 x 25/29 x 24/28 x 23/27 x 26/30 x 25/29 x 24/28 x 23/27. So, about 29.8%. Yes, it' barely anything, but IT'S STILL A DIFFERENCE! (More exactly: 29.75930418%)

DiscoStriker ReIinquished You're both wrong :P The second hand is drawn without replacement - you don't have to worry about drawing a card you just discarded (though you could draw duplicates of course). So the chance of missing Axe in the initial draw and mulligan is 26/30 x ... x 19/23 = 26.69%. However, we should also factor in the draws on turns 1 and 2, since he's unlikely to play Axe before then anyway. Those draws COULD draw the initially discarded cards, so the numbers go back up: multiply the above value by 22/26 and 21/25. That comes out to 18.97%. So one out of every 5ish games-going-second we should expect to see no axes by turn 2. (I haven't finished the vid yet so no idea if this is borne out - but either way it's a small sample size :P) I think OP is underreading the sarcasm for most of the "what?" comments - Trump can be pretty dry haha. However he did seem a bit more serious at 29:00 "this is actually pretty bad luck to be honest", so I agree he should expect to see that luck at least once in an arena run. (But "astronomically low" was more of the usual conscious exaggeration we all have come to know and love.)

Blader Henry If he didn't have 2 minions on the board. the silvermoon would get in 2 attacks dealing 6 damage to his face and killing his 6/6 minion(since he would have to use the 6/6 to attack the silvermoon twice). That way he wouldn't have to rely on getting a taunt next turn.

Alex Obye You miss the point. Arena will give you a pack, so you're basically only paying it 50 gold. Doing 6 wins will reward you with a minimum of 75 gold. That's a net gain of 25 gold, 4.17 gold per win. (The maximum is 145. Net 95, 15.83 per win). Constructed is only 3.33 gold per win. If you do 7 wins, you'll get between 150 and 190 gold, covering the complete cost of the Arena while still getting a pack. Considering, as before, that the Arena cost is actually 50 gold, it's a net gain of 100 to 140 gold, 14.28 to 20 gold per win. Hell, even doing only 4 or 5 wins still has some good chance to be as good as Constructed. And that's only counting the gold and the pack, not the other rewards. The only real downside, as you mentioned, is that it default to GvG. I personally feel like I'm overspending when I want classic packs, and have to buy them instead of winning them in the Arena.

If you use Upgrade on Gorehowl, you get an 8/2 weapon. The ability will trigger even before it loses durability, meaning swinging at an enemy minion will get you a 7/2 weapon with Gorehowl's normal effect still working. However, attacking the enemy hero doesn't trigger the effect and instead costs 1 durability as it normally would. Upgrade permits you to swing multiple times at the enemy hero instead of it simply breaking on the first hit. Upgrading Gorehowl allows you to effectively do 16 damage to the enemy hero over the course of 2 turns, or if you have two upgrades it allows you to do 27 damage over 3 turns. As for what happens when you have a 1/2 Gorehowl and hit an enemy minion, I don't know if it will break because of its effect or if it just gives you a 1/1 after doing so. Normally someone is going to die before an extreme event like that happens...

doombybbr You need to use combinatorials (which use factorials), not exponentiation. Google will solve "26 choose 8 divided by 30 choose 8", ie, the ratio of no-FWA 8-card draws to all possible 8-card draws (0.2669). I think. This stuff is somewhat tricky, but I can say that the problem with your exponentiation is you are drawing cards but putting the card back in the deck after each draw, whereas the "N choose n" does not replace cards to the deck, ie they are exhausted and each of the 30 can only be drawn once.

The very last game was sooo greedy. With such low hp, just kill the 0/2 totem with the axe and trade the 2/2 minion. Yes you have no way of dealing with the silvermoon guardian on the next turn, but you have a 6\6 minion, and you have the top deck and the hero ability. This strategy probably would have lost as well, but when you already have card advantage, making sub optimal trades in exchange for health is the optimal play as the longer the game continues, the higher the chance you will win because you have more cards.

This is why I don't like Warrior. I like the idea of smashing things with my hero, but you end up taking too much damage, and you end up in the late game with 10ish health, and if you don't have the board clear, your opponent can do very little damage to win. They should make Arcanite Reaper deal 5 damage to attackers and cost a durability, or something. It's the weakest of the weapons, or make some more weapons like the hunter bow that makes you immune to damage when you attack. If you look at constructed, almost nobody runs warrior, and this is why. In constructed you can't go below 30 health, or you lose in 1 turn lol.

While Fiery War Axe is extremely helpful early, I feel it falls off later very easily. In fact, i think Arcanite Reaper is a much better weapon in terms of usefullness.

The only difference between armor and hit points, are that armor can be used for certain spells, like shield slam.

The less health you have, the more you can regenerate. If he have 23 hit poitns and 2 armor, he can regenerate 7 hit poitns, but if he had 25 hitpoints and 2 armor, he would only be able to regenerate 5. But i suppose it dosn't mater much, as Trump did not have any healing.

Thats my point. It is easier to stay behind a wall of armor than heal up as a warrior. Armor is not as precious as health. So i say Trump is doing something wrong here. Though he is still better than me.
