Very nice of you to return to your roots trump! I feel like these Videos really help out a lot of players, not only but including new players. I'm trying something similar in German where I basically introduce those new Un'goro decks and play a round or two with them explaining the things this deck tries to achieve. So anyway I'm just glad we can help the community grow and teach them a thing or two about HS :P

Absolutely love this decktype I played something fairly similar back when Yogg and cabalist's tome came out, it involved things like jeweled scarab and that 5 mana 5/3 mage cardwhose name escapes me with brann Obviously it's WAY better now but I had so much fun with that deck for the longest time, and glad to see it meta!

I feel as if this isn't the best trumps teachings. It's not hard to beat rogue considering they don't have a lot of heal, and it's not bad to deal with aggro with you have a bunch of board clears and removals. The tough matchups, priest and Druid aren't even covered

Mage has always been decent but it's incredibly strong right now in both arena and constructed. Really feel like the devs made a big mistake with the value that discovering or gaining a random Mage cards is, especially when it already has amazing tools like ice block

How do you think Cabalist's Tome? Among them, 1 choice it. Sometimes it provide great value for victory,and sometimes I have no time use it regardress of opponent's deck type because of cost 5.

draw > spell damage, but having both is why thalnos is in this and so many other decks. Craft him as soon as you can.

Not sure. Tough it's worth considering to replace it with loot hoarder. It's basically a 50-50 if you need to draw with it or you need the spell damage. Since Thalanos can do both it'll most definitely be a downgrade but it still most likely be playable.

I don't think this deck is favoured against Taunt Warrior, if the Warrior plays the matchup right. You just don't use Sulfuras until the mage has no more threats and is fatigueing, armor up every turn and force him to use his burn on your minions since most of them have to much health to be killed by his AOE. I can't find a way to beat that, except if the Warrior draws very poorly and the mage somehow manages to get incredibly powerful stuff with Medivh, and even then Warrior has Execute, Shield Slam and Brawl. EDIT: Not to mention that very often he pulls Medivh and Alexstrasza with Dirty Rat since most of the time those are the only minions in your hand, and he has Armorsmith for even more armor.

Loot hoarder is the best replacement, if you have everything else it's still a decent deck. though thalnos is the best neutral legendary in standard and can be used in a lot of decks, so you should craft him once you have enough dust

It is a strong card in the deck. He has one of each board clear option because of all the different scenarios that pop up. Without Meteor there is at least one scenario you can't deal with... but replacing it with, maybe, another Flamestrike or Volcanic isn't the end of the world.

Alex, Rag, Sylvanas (Note: two have been rotated out of standard). Not necessary but very useful.

She'll save you vs flimsy aggro like Pirate Warrior and Face Hunter. She immense value in the late game against other late game decks. Those fights often turn into face damage races and Alex gives a big advantage there. Against another Discover Mage who IS running Alex, you have a big late game disadvantage without her. Also, it really frees you up to happily ignore face for the whole early and mid game. Let Alex do her work then you just have to survive 2-3 turns melting face.

To be honest Alex nearly never does anything vs face decks. She is only relevant in the control matchups since you will rarely want to spend turn 9 doing nothing besides healing yourself, unless you have already stabilized on board.
