Heat and MS | Compcooler active cooling vest

This is a short demo of the cooling vest I use to help me deal with the heat sensitivity of Multiple Sclerosis, on the hot Australian summer days.

yeah it's mostly just the heat - just dropped over $1000 on a new ac as the old 15yo job died yesterday. I should survive now till the rain hits.

Yeah they work fairly well, though I learnt to drain the pump between seasons, as the plunger rusted in mine.

Very few people get shot here. But self defence in Australia is a whole topic on it's own. The 6x6 despite it's military past is not armored. It's an ex ambulance.

@@albertgomez4446 I don't know. It's a similar capacity to a mobile phone. It would be worth asking the airline as each one have their own policies.

Where is the thermometer sensor that reading 46.6C? Might be good exercise to build a weather station in your backyard in a Stevenson Screen type enclosure.

I used to have a decent one, but my apprentice threw a tantrum while helping a couple of years back and it fell 30 feet and smashed. The temp sensor was likely in the sun at that point, but is indicative of my experience outdoors - not neccesarily a calibrated BOM worthy measumement. Anything in my back yard will get damaged, again by the apprentice - and other factors

You can't have body armor for just incase the cops wanna shot you. Why can't you have the right to have just in case protection. You never know now days. I hate laws

My plan is avoid doing stuff that makes them want to shoot me. I've been shot at before, not as scary as it sounds.

How long before you need to change the ice pack??

Depends how hard you work and what the temp is, for me I find functionally about an hour in 38c. it's still cool at that point, but I'll be planning to change packs about 2 hours in.
