Here we are using the Mini-ductor venom MDV-777 in the shop to loosen a stuck ball joint nut A friend of mine gave me all different ones to try and I found this to be the most practical and highest quality most of the other ones broke and burned out after a couple uses or barely worked also this is the only one I've seen that has the quick twist connection all the others you have to unscrew and screw in the different connectors a big pain and waste of time also this ones pistol shape and design makes it practical and easy to use
here's a link for it on Amazon amzn.to/2R7fe8p

Use 6 point wrenches and sockets. Avoid using 12 point wrenches and sockets to prevent rounding off the nuts.

12-points are used for SPEED, 6-points are there for STRENGTH & GRIP. Sometimes SPEED KILLS.

you can use a squirt of penetrant also to help cool it down. it will smoke alot so dont breathe that in. But the metal or steel is expanded that the penetrant should flow through which will also help overall

wished i had this when i had to take a shackle bolt out near the gas tank, as i held my butt heating it with an acetylene torch (i did put a shield on the tank and ended up also ordering this tool from Amazon)

i did this once with a torch, and the darn ball joint exploded like a rocket and almost killed me... i guess the grease built up pressure in the ball joint area and exploded1 i now drill or torch a hole to remove the pressure from the ball joint, in case the grease decides to explode. I am lucky to be alive!

@@yourlocalalexis4578 Someone I worked with did the same thing. He heated a ball joint on a toyota hilux with the gas axe and it exploded and went with a right bang. It luckily didn't hit him but hit the concrete floor and left quite a big dint/hole in it.

The temperature it reaches with this thing is actually dangerous too. It could easily ignite something or causing pressure to form. Know what you're doing, that's the way to go.

Right. If u want to break the bolt. Hit it with crc freeze off after cherry red. Air hammer with shake n break. Loosen, tighten, loosen. It’ll come right off.

That ball joint is so busted that you could use whatever you want to loosen it including torch. Best cut it with angle grinder.

You just ruined the heat treat on that box end wrench the wrench will be rounded off next. Use the impact to get it off while it's still hot. It's best if you stop at the stage where only the nut is glowing

I am having to drill out a broken bolt on a propane tank---capacity gauge leaks----needs new gasket---1 bolt of 4 broke off down in hole...tried PB Blaster, Kroil oil and even acetone and ATF. Nothing helped. Was wishing there was something like this to apply heat...couldn't use a torch of course. Purged tank---still produces fumes though. Laid wet towels all around where I was trying to drill the stub out. Still working on it (when I feel like it) cause I don't want to approach it frustrated. Would this tool be dangerous to use in this instance? I had seen where some suggested using a soldiering iron. Didn't feel that could produce the heat needed to expand the metal enough to get it out. At the moment I am using left hand drill bits to eat out the bolt and extractor bits. Slow....slow....slow....easy....easy....easy. Any comments, suggestions and/or advice greatly appreciated here. Jesus bless.
