Thank you, this video helped me solve my problem. My heating element wasn't mounted properly and it wasn't getting proper air flow and it kept shutting off after 30 seconds or so automatically from over heating. I cleaned it up, blew the dust off, mounted properly and the heat is now working again.

I really cannot tell for sure; you did not get close enough for me to see. I think the part you are showing and calling the thermal coupler switch is what is wrong with my heater. It appears to be in about the same location and has a set of contacts on it. I cleaned the contacts and mine started working. But it stopped again. I took it back apart and took my screwdriver and tapped on the thermal coupler switch and it started working again. I do not want to say I got it fixed but it has worked for a few days so far. As sure as I say I fixed it, it will stop working. At least that is the way life works for me. Duraflame DFS-550-21

How can I test the heating unit there is a hot and a neutral so if I put power to it it should turn by on like a toaster but it’s not? Everything works and has no dust on it but the heater won’t heat at all ????

The light on my full size fireplace doesn't turn off! It is orange and the light bulbs are on but the fireplace is off, but plugged in. What can I do to fix it?

L have a Electralog electric Fireplace and it keep cutting off I cleaned the fan but that not it I also replace electric cord that not it also replace battery in the remote control and that not it. don't know to do now

I have a X5 Model - 2009; my flame is not working and I am aware to change the light bulbs. I also found that the foil flame reflection tube is just laying at the bottom of the unit not attached to anything; it looks like it should be attached but, I'm not sure where. Can anyone tell me where is should be attached and how to access that area? Please and Thank you.

I have the exact same problem with mine if I turn it on and go straight to high heat. I have found that if I turn it on, put it on low heat for a minute and then to hot it works fine. My blower speed seems to "ramp up" in speed and I know the slower speed as it's ramping up, is not enough air flow to keep the safety system from going off (several beeps and shutting off). I hope this helps. You probably need a new blower motor and fan. They get dirty over time and that reduces airflow.

I gt the exat same model, at least the main board is the same, but it stop to work. The remote is not working, and the button also. I gave a visual inspection to the main board and nothing is burned. Also did a small diagnostic with multimeter and nothing wrong. But it is no more working. Anybody encounter a similar issue, any idea?? Thx

Every thing looks like new inside mine checked everything that could go wrong 😑 everything works except it doesn’t heat up but the blower kicks on also the high setting works. Fan doesn’t have a spec of dust on it either this is a pos! Everything works but the heater element won’t get hot it has power but the coil won’t heat up at all 🤔

@@surefiremushroomsmicrogreens near the heating element, there is a fuse! Mine also was blown. Once you find about what I talking, you can connect the heating element without it, to test the theory only!! Remplace the fuse later, it is important!
