Hey! I work in the eyecare industry, Matt mentioned canceling your vision insurance, DONT! You have to get annual eye exams to insure your surgery is guaranteed for life. If you don’t go annually and something goes wrong after Lasik, even a couple years from now, they will not back it if you don’t go to consistent exams.

HEATH….I JUST had my consultation today, with a Prosthodontist. (I’ve never heard of that type of dentist either.) Long story short, when you experience childhood trauma with your front teeth, you will likely lose one or both teeth later in life. Then comes bone loss. I was behind home plate and got a bat to the face. It knocked my front teeth to the roof of my mouth. And, a year ago I cried like a baby when they had to remove my front tooth! So I’m getting 4 implants that will be the support for an upper plate of teeth. They stay in and get checked and cleaned once a year. It’s called All on 4, bizarre. It runs $25k & up for one tray! 🤨 thank God there are insurance companies that now cover a portion of implants. I was told that the traumatized teeth usually come out in your mid to late 30’s. (Mine lasted much longer) letting you know because of your traumatic tooth injury. Love the podcast, take care and do us all a favor, marry Mariah. 😊

I 100% sure most shops scam people. We had to have a out of province inspection on our vehicle because we moved the shop said we needed $5000 worth of work for it to be safetied so we just decided to sell the car as is. We sold it to a guy who fixes vehicles, he told us a week after buying it didn't need anything done to it to pass safety. It was passable for safety.

As a server, I would feel so uncomfortable if someone had their camera out while giving me a huge tip. I think that is so inappropriate. Them talking about splitting tips reminds me that i used to be a waitress at an event hall (we held weddings, bull roasts, crab feasts, bingos, various types of parties, etc.). For some reason the bartenders got to keep ALL of their tips for themselves meanwhile the waitstaff had to split any tips with everyone else; cooks, dishwashers, the people who prepped before events, etc. my boyfriend at the time that was a dishwasher used to get wayyyyy more tips than me. It was always the worst when someone would give each waitress their own tip but we were never allowed to keep it for ourselves, we had to put it in the tip bowl. I also worked as a waitress at a retirement home and if the residents wanted to give us tips they most they could give were coupons, they weren’t allow to give us cash 😵‍💫

I had lasik in 2006. Then in 2021 I had to get glasses for distance vision. When I got lasik, I was told if I kept my annual vision appointments then I had a life time guarantee on my eyes. Well, when you can see great you don't think about going to the eye doctor so that was out the door. Also, I'm almost 50 and work in front of computer for 12 hours a day so there's that.

A little secret, I work for a dealership but when all your lights come on sometimes your sensors on the front of your car/truck is dirty on the outside, where the emblem is, Clean it & you’re good to go. If that don’t work then it’s the wiring.
