I don't think Gordon gets enough credit for this, but it really shows how experienced and caring he really is. She burned herself, apparently *very* badly, yet he was calm in her presence in order to make sure that she remained calm. People are laughing at him yelling at Jean-Phillipe like it's a joke, not realizing that the burn was so severe that Gordon was LITERALLY screaming for EMTs ASAP (when he called for 'ICE'). He advises his team that it is a "serious burn," so that everyone understands the severity of the situation, yet still steers everyone's attention back to what they're doing. He did this so masterfully that even Heather, with her hand burned so severely, even tried to get on board and continue service. Despite his rough exterior, it's evident that Gordon simply cares deeply about his life and everything in it; the experiences he's had as he's grown in his career pay off tremendously for anyone that's fortunate enough to be trained by him. Mad respect.

A comment that stood out to me in another highlight video that had this clip stuck in my head. Gordon did everything medically correct too. For severe burns you don't just straight up put it in cold water, you have to slowly lower the temperature with warm water first then cold water and then ice water. This progression is the best way to minimize damage after the burn injury. You hear him say "Nice hot water" right before he yells for JP

3rd degree doesn't cause much pain if im not mistaken, it burns you so bad that it literally sears your nerve endings off. Had an experience like that when i accidentally touched my wrist to a motorcycle tailpipe and it burnt my skin so bad it turned white. It was painful but it wasnt excruciating. Not sure though since im not a doctor

I get your point but as someone with chronic migraines, I promise you, migraines are not just a headache. More often than not, for me they are absolutely debilitating. I get dizzy, nauseous, and the pain is extreme. And I can't handle noise or light at all when I'm having one because it makes every symptom 10 times worse.

I think it depends on the person for a migraine we all get different symptoms. Like for me I would get dizzy and literally could NOT open my eyes because the light would make it worse.
