Thanks for the nice video. I'm on the lookout for one of these to check you a Johnson Viking mobile transmitter. Now, I'm not so sure. Probably hold out for the HP-20 now. 73 Paul AA1SU

You're a glutton for punishment! ;-) Nice HW-101 though. I've got a Heathkit set of SB-101, -200, -300 & -400 for my vintage station. I either need to find an HP-23 or steal the parts from an extra SB-400 I've got. Just love the old rigs! Thanks for the look at the HP-13. I've never seen one running before. 73 de N6MGN

Typically I replace resistors with the next wattage up. If you check the voltage rating of todays resistors you'll find that they often aren't rated for tube gear voltages. That's the first 12V supply for tube gear that I've ever seen. Pretty cool. 73 NE5U Mike

+Michael Lloyd Yes, I used my IR temperature gauge and measured that 2 watt resistor going up to 170F while the old carbon one next to it stayed at 120F. I'll be replacing it with a 5w to be on the safe side. Also if you look in the video, I actually had a 1k 2w in that position, but replaced it. Never trust Digi-Key packaging.

I have a vintage Heathkit HA-14 SSB amp in my shack that I haven't fired up yet with the A/C HP-23 power supply, but I really want to go mobile with this little amp to boost the RF on my Yaesu FT-857d in my Silverado. The designated HP-14 ps is long obsolete and ultra scarce at best, and I don't know of a suitable replacement mobile ps for this amp. Would you know how this could be accomplished? Thanks.
