Heaven Adores You 10th Anniversary Trailer 2024

Heaven Adores You is an intimate, meditative inquiry into Elliott Smith’s rise to prominence in the 1990s and early 2000s, a promising career cut short by his untimely death at 34 in 2003. By threading his music through the dense yet often isolating landscapes of the three major cities he lived in-Portland, New York, and Los Angeles-Heaven Adores You takes an affectionate and absorbing look at the work of a truly genuine talent and presents an earnest review of the singer’s prolific songwriting and the impact it continues to have on fans, friends, and fellow musicians.
Celebrating the film’s 10th anniversary, Mercury Studios is re-releasing the acclaimed feature documentary Heaven Adores You in select theaters beginning August 6th, on what would've been Elliott's 55th birthday.
Selected screenings will happen in Los Angeles (Aug 5th), Portland, NYC, Las Vegas, Chicago, San Francisco, Minneapolis, Austin, Washington, Boston, Seattle, Denver, Dallas, and Brooklyn, NY (Aug 7th).

I love this movie! It’s a shame so much of the ‘From a Basement on the Hill’ content won’t get completely processed and mixed for a proper high quality release. Anyone know why the owners of that stuff are withholding so much of Elliott’s music he wanted out there?

Wish they would have added bonus performance material on the dvd Watching people talk about Elliott is great but having some performances to go along with it would have really been the complete package They could have easily added lucky 3 and have few other snippets from different performances
