The "insurance thing" is a reference to the pilot. Even though it's not canon, there's a few references to gags or jokes from it in the show. ALSO: Matt: I think his horse obsession is fine. Me: OOOOHHH, you ain't seen NOTHING yet.

Aw, you missed the poster behind Loona. Check it out at some point :) That's the same question I had: how does arrival in Hell work? We see a sinner fall from the sky at the start of the Hazbin pilot, already in his demon form and with (I think?) clothes to fit. Maybe Loopty adapted fast and used his new built-in buzz saw to mug the first passerby he saw. Loona yelled at the imps last episode about the stupidity of not having disguises, so now they're doing their best. Their best is not very good, but luckily humans in this show don't seem real bright.

As far as I am aware/can remember, the way Sinners manifest in hell can depend on how they lived/died. Alastor looks like a deer-man because he was mistakenly shot by a deer-hunter in the dark whilst hiding a body; Angel Dust looks like a spider-femboi because he was the closet-gay Fredo of a crime family; Nifty's dressed as a '50s housewife because she was in fact a '50s housewife; etc.. I'mma guessing Loopty's ability to conjure gadgets/weapons out of nowhere is because he was a prolific inventor killed by one of his own creations, maybe?

Also the yellow sheep Keenie, she's voiced by Vivziepop herself. 3:33 Pretty sure it's a reference to the pilot. 7:30 This is the episode that establishes that a sinner's form in hell depends on how they died and who they were in life. Loopty was a robotics engineer so in hell he's a robot thing. So, Blitzo's clown disguise is a reference to a character that Brandon Rogers plays. I forget the character's name but yeah. 11:01 The Woodland Critters? 12:44 Husk reference 13:23 And om that day, thousands of people were GNOMED 14:08 Because they're in the human world. Those are their disguises. 20:02 The deer cherub here named Deerie, is also voiced by Vivziepop. 20:20 We don't actually know. Yet at least

The insurance thing is a call back to the first episode where IMP takes a kid they shoot by accident to the hospital and the Dr. asks for their insurance after they treat him. When Blitzo asks what the eff that is the doctor presents Blitzo with the bill and Blitzo promptly decides he would rather throw the kid out a window than pay it.

I've seen some fun info that the background character you thought looked like a human angeldust is a cameo of one of the animation crew members and might not be far off from what our sweet spider boi looked like as a human, a lot of other fans have thought it's an angeldust easter egg 😉

Sinners manifest with powers related to their lives and appearances related to their deaths. We don’t know for sure but it seems the strength of the powers relate to how evil they were in life, and get stronger as they barter for souls. Loopty knew to find I.M.P. literally moments after he died. He sought them out. He probably knew about Hell already and used his infinite money cheat to buy souls ahead of time. Maybe used some kind of arcane magic circle ritual as part of his employees’ contracts, giving him legal ownership of their souls upon his death.

The episode seems like filler, but I think it's just early set up for the cherubs. We get a little bit more information on the personalities of the imps. Blitz is confident, but irresponsible and clumsy. Moxxie is a nervous type, but a competent assassin. Millie and Moxxie work well together and will totally get frisky on stage in public.
