Those definitely smacked the steel pretty hard. I always did like heavy bullet loads though. And big time agree with the light weight snubs and mags. It’s a really cool gun for the first shot. 🤣

I like 5.2 gr of Unique with a 158 swc for 38 spl . +P and 4.7 for standard loads .

I really like the Lyman 358429 mold and they were dropping .359 at 173 grains using pure wheel weights. Didn't bother fluxing them because I powder coated them ford light blue. Super accurate bullet I used 5.1 gr of Unique in Winchester 38 special cases I was pushing them 950 fps and was a very consistent load. Really fun to shoot steel with it and I think it would be a good small game load because it was dead nuts.

Mine is very similar to yours 4.0 grains of TrailBoss behind a 158 grain SWC. They shoot great in my 4" Smith Combat Masterpiece.

Which Dan Wesson was that? Mine is from 1978 15VH 2-8 was the pistol pack with 2-4-6-8 inch barrels.

My sissy loads consist of two powder coated 000 buck pellets over 3.9 gn of HP38 and cci 500 primers for a velocity of 875 fps. makes a nice rodent load or snake load.
