In my mid 40's and blessed to finally see the past so much clearer. I love what you said about your parents, so very true and from the time we realize that to the time they pass on from this world is a time to cherish! God Bless

He hit the mark. I had a conversation with my then 18 yr old daughter. What I said to her came out in my father's voice. In my mind I heard my fathers voice not mine. The light bulb in my brain came on. I finally understood.

This is 1000% true AF As a 43 year old man I can see it. but kids can’t fully understand just as a blind man can be surrounded by beauty and never fathom the spectacle. The harsh reality of life sadly, the test comes first, then the lesson

I'd love to see the numbers. Debt to income ... income sources ... write-offs ... assets vs. liabilities ... etc. These guys likely have stellar accountants/advisors who exploit every possible tax loophole to their advantage, or not. Things are not always as they seem with the 'influencer' crowd.

amen I'm 53 and I agree, there are regrets due to the fact I had a massive stroke 10 years ago and 3 subsequent strokes. I can kiss the future plans goodbye, wish I was consumed with wealth when I was young. so do it now tomorrow's not guaranteed

How much money did you parents start you out with? I received just enough food and clothes to get by. Not $1 was given to by parents. Kicked out at 18 with no help from them. Just wondering were I could have been with wealthy parents.

i was out at 18. i was 10k in debt back in 2005/6. I started painting with a friends dad who later apprenticed me. fast forward 20 years im still a painter but i work for myself. i consistently make 6 figures a year. But besides that i got into renovating houses and flippipng. I now own 1.7 million in real estate with about a 300k mortgage. If i liquidated now evertything i own id be close to 2 mill at age 36. That would be selling all 3 of my houses, skid steers, sports cars, trucks, rvs and so on. all of which are owned outright, no payments.

Millionaire is an irrelevant benchmark anymore. Anyone with a $100,000 year job will be a millionaire in 10 years. It’s all relative, you have earned that benchmark, but the realities of life doesn’t just stick it in the bank. Achieving early success in your 20’s will leave you unprepared to really be an adult as you haven’t had to deal with setbacks, detours and restarts in your life. It wasn’t until my mid 30’s where I was really personally and professionally successful.
