Bubble & Sqeak is a traditional English post-Xmas meal where the left-overs of the Xmas Roast dinner were mixed together. Traditionally it was made up of the left-over roast potatoes, brussel sprouts, carrots mashed together, formed into flat cakes about an inch thick and fried in oil or butter until light brown and crispy on the outside. Some added bits of the left-over chicken or turkey too.

I did not know you and Susie had lost a son. I dont remember you ever mentioning this before on any of the videos I have watched so far. My heart goes out to you. My nephew lost his 18 month old daughter about 10 years ago to a very rare nervous system disease. It was extremely hard on him, her mom, and the entire family.

I remember, years ago, waking up at the halfway down camp in the grand canyon at 2am or so - a fair sized lizard having crawled onto my chest. Nothing worth worrying about, but what a way to wake up. I screamed, the lizard learned to fly, and I got zero sleep after that.

Being Australian I grew up having bubble and squeak it's basically left over veges all mashed together then lightly cooked (fried) in a saucepan with a good dollop of butter..especially nice with left over baked veges 🦘🐨🦘🐨🦘

I love the sound of rain hitting the tarp. It relaxes me right away. I think I’m one of those people who would not spend a night in the woods by myself. I have a very runaway imagination. If I’d hear a stick break, my mind would go crazy for sure. I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who feels this way. Bubble and squeak is a traditional British dish that was essentially leftovers. Potato plus whatever green veg was leftover, fried up the next morning for breakfast. Often served with a fried egg or 3. Quite versatile and usually delicious. I grew up with a typical recipe of cabbage and Brussels sprouts mashed into roast potatoes fried in bacon grease, served with the bacon and eggs sunny side up on top of the bubble and squeak. Be interesting to see you have a go in the woods😂

Luke, I’m an older man and over the years have learned a lot. Always open to words of wisdom. The one main thing I have used over & over is this. I play the WHAT IF game almost daily. Say or write the words WHAT IF and apply anything you want. ie, a mugger comes at me, I have no heat, I get lost in a forest etc etc. love your videos. Miles Windhams
