We call these two axle trucks "Death trucks" in Norway. Because of weight restrictions in these trucks countries, they often dont need more axles. Wich means less load. That also means more trucks on the road and more pollution. They also have a great number of old trucks. That said these trucks are not good for winter conditions. They cant transfer weight to their drive axle meaning they struggle to get anywhere. We warn people on facebook if we meet these truck approaching mountain passes. Most likely they will get stuck, even with chains. it's an everyday accurence in Norway. Since they are not based in nordic regions they usually have bad tires and bad chains not suited for these conditions. It's a reason you aren't liked in Norway. We risk our lifes dayly meeting you. We loose so much time waiting for you to get unstuck. Sometimes they will refuse to pay for a tow truck since it is expensive. So the police will have to force them to pay for it. The amount of times i have lost my weekends because of these trucks are almost uncountable. I wonder how many millions of dollars are lost waiting for these people every year. Not a single Norwegian driver would accept driving on your salaries. Not a single one would concider driving with your poor equipment. There are other jobs out there. Let's just hope one day you are banned from driving here with these trucks.

Triple axle trucks can raise the rear axle so it won't cost any more when it's not in use... Almost all trucks in Sweden are 6x4 or possibly 6x2 and in my opinion we should ban 4x2 tractor trailer vehicles during the winter months... Or the rest of Europe could just follow Sweden and our neighbours and allow 25metre combinations such as the in the picture which is how 99% of all long-haul trucks look up here huvudveck.files.wordpress.com/2010/10/dsc00510.jpg

@bassmith448bassist53 жыл бұрын
Just one more comment. Pulling that rig from the trailer is dangerous. If it were a bit more stuck, there is a very real possibility of shearing the kingpin. This could involve the obvious damage to the trailer and possible injury to any bystanders or other vehicles trying to get around the incident. It also places unnecessary strain on the tow truck winches and winch anchors. This operator looked like he knew exactly what he was doing though.
