4 quarts of oil is about 7 pounds. 21 quarts of oil is about 36 pounds. So in a situation where the ring gets hooked on something, it's far safer to wear a generic rubber ring. It's even safer not to wear a ring at all. I used to wear a ring, but stopped when a friend of mine lost a finger by shorting his wedding ring across a truck battery.

@@joshuaaho920 In the 80s I worked in an office - a window cleaner (inside) slipped off his ladder, only fell about 2 or 3 feet, but his ring caught on the window latch, didn't completely sever his finger, but it was hanging off.

I think the issue is wind drag. The fenders definitely improved the look, but will most likely hurt efficiency, which to each consumer may not be an issue, but the ones that buy the truck and try to get the most range it will be an issue. Its all good though, the aftermarket will have the consumers back.

Love these tests, might look extreme, but most people who use their truck for overlanding will tackle most of these terrains to get some where over a few years of driving so good to see it handle it. The jump was extreme, but i've had my LR4's front wheels of the ground many times.

I have been watching your videos for a couple of yearS or more and have to say it is great to see how much evolution is happening right in front of everybodys eyes. You use to be in a smaller shop, had less toys, less equipment and largely focused on towing. These days you are opening up to all sorts of possibilities and having fun doing it. Witnessing your growth, educating yourself, experimenting with things many only dream of, then educating and entertaining the public through your videos....EXCELLENT JOB!! I have always said, if people open up, come together on projects and technology WE as a whole can accomplish almost anything. People are generally scared of innovation, scared of losing the "traditional" things in life. Imagine, a phone that we can use while we drive, without a long cord. Imagine, heating your food up in seconds. Imagine, a power saving diode emitting more light than a tungsten bulb...evolution...who woulda thunk it? LOL. If WE come together and support innovation, it will be much easier, and more enjoyable to progress with success rather than regress or not even trying. EV's may not be for every application or best for all conditions however, if we keep trying WE'LL get there. One of the first cars ever built was electric...Jay Leno owns one. Thanks for helping others see the potential, and thanks for your videos.

I lost him March 17th 2024, he was a Vietnam vet, 2 tours and an amazing man... I would put your videos on for him and he would smile, All I really have left of Bruce is our 2005 dodge neon sxt with 80 thousand miles on it and a very funny noice.. I have a thought with the Cybertruck doing the Baja 5000 Dave. So I had this idea that originally was being invented as a method of being able to change out fully electric semi truck's battery system. So the invention idea is a conex trailer that has been modified to hold multiple battery bank systems that would have a rectangular styled battery that can be swapped out quickly and easily, allowing the electric semi to swap out the drained battery, for a fully charged battery. The conex itself would be setup like any semi truck 53ft trailer, and depending on the clients needs can be setup to charge both on grid, with solar, off grid, all solar, or on grid only like at places such as truck stops. For your needs on the Baja, I think it would be amazing to be able to find a badass simple modular battery system, that would allow you to stop at a pit stop, basically have a small backup battery system to be able to run computer electrical systems in between the change, and use a small 4 winch setup to make it easy to lower the battery, and install another battery fully charged. Honestly the concept could work amazingly well especially in cold climate locations like where you live in Utah. Having a conex with multiple battery banks ready to go could work perfect to allow the cybertruck the ability to possibly run the Baja 5000, and do incredibly well.

im not a fan of the stock cybertruck look but ill be honest this one looks insane. Something about the bumper, fender flares, and light bar just completes the look somehow and makes it actually look good. I think the fender flares and stance widening in particular is what the stock one is missing.

Normally I would say you are pretty spot on. But Tesla is struggling with quality control and lots of assembly issues. I think that the truck is amazing and it's great that you got to really see what they are capable of with some modifications to make it your own.

Cybertruck is manufactured in Austin, Texas. Motors Texas, batteries are manufactured in Nevada. Tesla is surprisingly one of most made in America brands.

Love how open you are to new technology, Dave. I have ICE engine cars and trucks, and I love them. That doesn't mean I can't be interested in electric vehicles as well. I am on many forums so I can learn from current ev vehicle owners, and all you see is hate coming from Internal Combustion engine owners. They are afraid of losing what they love the most and feel threatened. Why else would they go on an all electric forum. All they do is show the obvious shortcomings of ev without showing the obvious advantages. This new wave of electrification of vehicles is still improving and will surpass ICE eventually.

If you do turn one into a cyberripsaw, leave all 3 motors combined with the front diff driving the left & right track. The rear motors should have plenty of power for steering, the front diff will allow it to steer, and keeping the front motor will keep it in the 1000hp range...

I would be worried about flexing the battery to much by jumping or bouncing it. You could break soldered connections and cause the battery to possibly short out.

I like the simple design it looks like a hetzer on wheels but its too expensive and if it breaks its also very expensive perhaps they can lover the price down very cheap perhaps $2-5k is reasonable enough if mechanism just become more simplified kinda like my lil electric scooter but even more simple and maybe instead of battery charging stations make it battery swap out stations so u know ur battery is always good as new, they have the machinery and factory to keep the batteries always function + store the batteries with fire proof barrier and afes system so nomore getting cooked trap inside whenever the batteries decide to blast
