I feel the VP9 and VP9SK are the two best striker fired handguns on the market. I've had a VP9 for a few years, it's absolutely my favorite striker fired gun. I purchased the VP9SKa few weeks ago and finally got around to taking it to the range. I love it more than the VP9, shooting tight groups right out of the box. Absolutely my new carry gun, eventually I'll get the optic to go on it, but it's such an amazing shooter. This is the way indeed, Sir.

Hello there! Im very interested in this light for my vpsk. Had one question. Is the front rail slit not used when the light is attached. It looks from your vid that the front notch isn’t used? I hate returning things so just curious as to your opinon even though it fits... if it looks mismatched in any way because of that. Thank you sir!

The XSC mounts securely to the receiver. And there is only one cross bar on the light with which to connect to one of the slots on the receiver. I don’t recall which of those slots it is. Another light might secure to a different slot. Which one doesn’t matter, as long as the light fits securely.

What I teach my students and I have come to modify for myself is to adjust my grip. By moving my firing hand thumb from where it used to rest against the weapon, to now rest above the support hand thumb, I no longer have to worry about it "riding" the slide stop/release. It’s from Tier 1. You are correct. They do not offer a holster for that light. Hej Mate, I really really like your H&K videos. During my service time we used soooo many H&K products, my absolute favorite was/is the P30. I totally agree with you, you should caring two flashlights in your EDC setup and not only one mounted on your handgun. Anyway, I think it's a good idea to have a flashlight that protrudes past the length of the barrel! In a Close Quarter Environment/ CQB you might have to press the handgun against a person/animal. When the slide of the handhun gets pulled back ever so slightly then it doesn't allow the trigger to be fired or loading a new round in the chamber. Having a malfunction in this situation is the worst conceivable starting point for any life or death scenario. . . . . . .
@teufelshundtactical Жыл бұрын
Thanks. I have seen numerous instances where people have tried to use weapon mounted lights on pistols in that capacity and the result is either the light becoming separated from where it mounts onto the pistol or separating and taking that part of the receiver and the front of the trigger guard with it. Though the idea of using a weapon mounted light as a blunt object, with which to strike an adversary, may seem like a good idea, I would suggest that experience says otherwise.

Ooh Rah Gunner, great content. Love my VP as well as all my HK tools. Sir, we spoke a few years ago about the feasibility of converting my P30L with de-cocker to the LEM variant. Then life happened and we broke contact. If I recall you advised against it but I see a lot of folks on YT who've gone down that path with success. I know HK does not approve of modifications to their gear, and that you are a certified HK Armorer, so this is a rhetorical question. Basically can it be done, and if so by who? I know Gray Guns and Lazy Wolf do it but am unwilling to ship my firearm that far away from where I live in PA. So, any guidance is greatly appreciated. PS, the pix in your background appear to be Tom Selleck? My wife (also a Marine) and I met him and his crew in Hawaii when we were stationed in Kaneohe. Semper Fi, Ken

Good stuff. Yes, a P2000 or P30 DA/SA can be converted to LEM. It will void your H&K warranty, but can be done if the proper parts are sourced. You can contact me via email through the website for the process.

Hi, James. Assuming you've been shooting and carrying the VP9sk for awhile, what are your thoughts on it? Which magazine capacity and/or pinky extension do you use? Many thanks!
@teufelshundtactical Жыл бұрын
I'm very happy with it. When it first came out, there were four mag options: 10 round flush base, 10 round pink extension base, 13 round extended grip and 15 round extended grip. Recently, all the mags are now offered with 2 more rounds of capacity. So, I carry the gun with the updated 15 round extended grip and run the 17 round extended grip for a spare.

Hi, James. Under what circumstances would you recommend carry of a VP9 over a VP9SK? I'm wondering if the larger grip of the VP9 aids pistol manipulation enough to matter.
@teufelshundtactical2 жыл бұрын
The extended 13 and 15 round mags for the VP9SK can give you a fuller grip like that of the VP9. I always recommend carrying the smallest handgun that you can accurately shoot and that is reliable. Most people fall victim to one that is just too small. Carrying a larger pistol than you “need” can lead to issues with concealment, but if you can get away with it, you have the benefit of things like higher mag capacity, longer sight radius, a better recoil reduction system, etc.

Hi There, I have the P30SK with OEM 13 and 15 Rd Mag, I've heard you can buy the HK OEM Conversion Kit (15rd to 17Rd) and install them on 13rd OEM mag to make it 15rd. I was wondering if you've try that? I personally don't like how the 15rd Feels and extends but loved the 13rd OEM Mag. The I love my P30SK is there any reason for me to buy a P30? The P30L might be too big for my liking.
