Heckler & Koch Hk416D RECCE Rifle

Shooting some various drills with my new Hk416D RECCE build, which will eventually be a CAG 416 RECCE clone. I just need the old gen long Geissele 416 rail to replace the RAHG the barrel chopped to 14.5”, RAL8000 dust cover, and a stripped tanodized BB date coded upper.

This “faux sixteen” build is based off of the SFOD-D CAG / ACE Hk416D RECCE rifle, to which there are a few photos floating around out there of. As for this rifle particularly, there are a handful of parts need to be changed for this rifle to be an actual clone of said CAG RECCE, most obviously being that I need to swap the RAHG for the long Geissele 416 rail in DDC and the barrel chopped down to 14.5”, among other things. However, once I have that done, I’ll be making a detailed video going through the parts. Stay tuned for that.

Finally got my Hk416D RECCE clone started and decided to film the first drills ever done with this build as well getting it out to 300yds. There will definitely be more comprehensive videos done on this rifle, so definitely stay tuned if you like what you see so far.

It’s not a true clone in its current configuration, unfortunately. However, I was inspired to build it from pictures of a SFOD-D/CAG/ACE dude wearing AOR2 in Syria carrying a tanodized 416 with the Vortex Razor HD Gen.2 1-6x24 sporting a Geissele 14.5” 416 rail in DDC and a 14.5” barrel with the Surefire closed tine flash hider. My rifle currently has a Remington 14.5” rail and my barrel is 16.5”, so it still needs chopped down. Also need a Tanodized buffer tube and RAL8000 dust cover.

Nope, it actually fits extremely tightly on the upper compared to my Geissele. I’m currently running the Geissele now with a 14.5” barrel because I wanted a CAG 416 clone.

In this video, it’s a factory 16.5” barrel. I’m now running a Brownell’s 14.5” barrel on it with the muzzle device pinned and welded to get me to a legal 16”+ length.

@@MahdiShirzad. Gotcha. So, basically this is a Heckler & Koch Hk416D clone. The build was inspired by CAG / ACE (Delta Force) Hk416D RECCE rifles which have similar features such as the tan anodized receivers, Vortex Razor HD Gen.2 E 1-6x24, Geissele Super Precision mount, “chocolate chip” PEQ-15, a 14.5” length rail system, Surefire closed tined flash hider, B5 SOPMOD Enhanced Stock, VTAC Padding Sling in Multicam, etc. There two major things that set my build apart from there’s aesthetic wise is CAG / ACE use the Geissele rail whereas I have the Remington Arms rail, and my barrel is currently 16.5” long instead of 14.5”, but that’ll change sometime in the future. Hope that info helps you out a bit.

ZzBiohazzardzZ Sorta. It’s a Titan Defense Cerroforge TD416 upper receiver (built to 416 spec), barrel is an MR556 barrel with the tab removed. The BCG, charging handle, gas block, op rod are all Hk416D. The rail is a Remington Defense 14.5” 416 rail and the muzzle device is a closed tine Surefire flash hider.
