Hell's Revenge tried to get the best of me 👊+ New Devils Staircase

We had the best day ever on the Hells Revenge Trail in Moab, Utah! Not without a few surprises. The Jeep upgrades all worked great but I did have one hiccup...
This was a day of redemption for me, last time I was here it was 2015 and I skipped all the good stuff. Today I was going to hit it all! I was there 2 weeks after Easter Jeep Safari 2022

HOLY CRAP! First, EPIC VIDEO! So good. 2nd. I think I almost crapped my pants with you on Mickey's hot tub a few times. Thought you were going over. Nice saves! UGH! This video did a really good job of showing just how crazy some of those obstacles are. Maybe more than most other videos I've seen. Not sure I'll be doing them any time soon..

It’s rated an 8/10 with those obstacles and 6/10 if you bypass them. It would be very doable for you if you skipped those 😝 just really steep hills in there but tons of grip. The hot tub kind of felt like a rock version of creek bed climbs at home, I’m pretty used to the front end popping up😂

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this but one of the main reasons why your front didn't go over even farther was because of the leafpacks with shackle on the front.

Thanks. To be honest most of this video was done with mine and other peoples phones, I had a wind mic on that helped but there was still wind noise. My good camera is kind of bulky get out on the trail haha.

From watching many different videos I determined that people think the tire marks on the right are from driving on the wall rather than from rubbing the wall. In other words they try to cut a v-notch instead of sticking to the left. Which makes no sense because of v-notch will put you so leaning left but going to the left will just slightly make you lean right. I'm glad I'm watching this so many times for so many months before ever going and having to try and figure it out in person. So don't drive up the right the marks are from robbing not driving on

leaf over in the rear....axle hop....so difficult to overcome it. Been there.

yep even with the traction bar it cuts down on the spring wrap but makes it hop now and then

They are new wagoneer springs(7 leaf pack from general spring in KC) I removed 2 leafs from the rear pack and 1 from the front. The rear is still really stiff but the front is dialed

How many inches of lift do you have?

@@mikewhitton4553 that’s hard to calculate but wagoneer springs are the same as 2” lift, plus I’m soa on bigger axles. Somewhere close to 7” plus I have 1/2” lift shackles and a 1” body lift from previous build. It’s taller than I like but it works

Jokes on you. It's not even a lift kit, just switched from spring under to spring over. They can eat ramen while I build out more off road vehicles
