The biggest positive here is that they’re actually explaining what they are doing and why they are doing it. I like how instead of nerfing the good thing they buff the bad thing. A good example is the airstrike and the rocket pods. The airstrike was good, and the rocket pods were sort of underutilized. So they buffed the rocket pods to make them a valid replacement for the airstrike, instead of nerfing the airstrike and forcing us to use rocket pods as a better option

For bots I used the rocket pods every time. It’s great for taking out bot fabricators from a distance, it could also one shot the big gun on top of the factory striders.

Ehhhh the guns that need buff most weren't buffed or were buffed not in a way they need to be buffed. Some buffs are good like crossbow and HMG but this "Heavy enemies are now more resistant to stun" stuff is fishy AF. Heavy enemies are the ones that you need to stun most this is indirect nerf for a lot of guns. Imagine if blitzer can't interrupt bile spewers now or punisher not being able to stunlock stalkers.

The mines literally just need twice the spread from the dispenser. Mines arent supposed to cause sympathetic detonations (chain reactions) one charger usually clears most of a minefield just walking through part of it.

FYI, From my testing it looks like the Gatling barrage and strafing run are both capable of killing bile titans if enough shots land on the head or an exposed body part. Also, the best way to deal with the charger behemoth is to shoot the leg with a rocket as opposed to aiming for the head. Then just finish it with a grenade or your primary instead of wasting two rockets on the face

From my very limited testing against bots Ive found: The eruptor destroys striders one shot to any location It still takes two shots to kill devastators unless it's the head but overall it does feel very nice again The orbital Gatling barrage seems good at destroying tanks and chaff and is available again relatively quickly And the grenade launcher seems very nice at handling groups of devastators now The purifier is still not very good at all it's damage is still not worth the wait The new scope optic on the dmr and amr finally allows you to see small targets in the distance And patrols are definitely reverted no squad rocking up every 20 seconds when your solo

I'd love buff for the Shield Generator Pod. But I will say it's still pretty usable against Bots. I played with it on Difficulty 7 with the handheld HMG pre-patch and it synergized pretty well. It had a fast cooldown so I could deploy on it on almost every major fight we weren't retreating from, it gave me and the team breathing room to reload and aim weapons (which was huge for the HMG) and by the time it ran out most of the worst threats were already dead. Was also super useful for protecting myself from a double Gunship Tower objective, letting me shoot and reload my HMG while out in the open to take them out as I approached the towers. Lasted a decently long while under fire.

For the eruptor, if they wanted to add the shrapnel, I think a red hot shrapnel animation, just a glowing orange dot wizzing across the screen, might work as a solution. I just loved how the shrapnel worked. It was so unique.

Most changes are welcome, but idk if they really read the feedback for the Eruptor and the crossbow given the one thing being requested for both was increase in splash radius back to what it was. For the Eruptor, the lack of shrapnel isn't really offset by increased damage not to my knowledge. I like the crossbow being more useful but the eruptor gaining more damage won't do much as proven in the past. We'll see maybe they stealth buffed it without mentioning it. I'll test it more to see. As for the Spear, man it can't catch a break with the bugs lol

Honestly I'm surprised the orbital airburst take rate was so low. I'd bring it literally every bug mission. Even before the buff you could pop it on top of a bug breach and get an easy 15-30 kills or throw it almost at your feet and kill anything chasing you. New warbond release was delayed hours after the patch. I will be gone until July. I got up at 4:45 this morning to give it a go before I left. Guess I won’t be checking the warbond out until July - hype gone. The tenderizer does feel much better now as it had its ammo resupply fixed and can effectively clear up to spewers with some trigger discipline and precision. The HMG is a monster now. Eruptor is still in need of some work. The damage buff is nice, but the low rate of fire and need for minimum two shots on medium enemies means it still isn’t viable for taking out medium enemies.

Personally, i am VERY happy about this patch. The new Tenderizer and HMG is my favorite anti-bot combo. The update to 110 mm rockets accuracy was also great. So much good stuff this patch. There's a lot of fixes and a lot of band-aids slapped on with this patch. It's no the be-all-end-all patch we probably were hoping for, but it's something. Like "damage buff to mines" and "explosive damage buff for the Eruptor" are complete band-aids for the problem they have. Mines just spread either too uniformly or too widely to where all it takes is 1 sucker to hit a mine, they'll bounce onto every other mine that just happens to be on the path the AI will take, and no other path through your mine field will ever be taken. Either that or like 5 chaff run into your mine field and chain detonate everything so you no longer have a mine field. I also don't buy the excuse that "the Eruptor's shrapnel was too difficult to detect and it's not good to get no feedback on what killed you." Johan's really got to learn what his medium is. I know that every single one of us has been killed by an enemy and then had the message popped up "Killed by: yourself." THAT is getting no feedback on what killed us and again, the Eruptor's shrapnel only became an issue after the ricochet mechanic was jammed into the game. The literal "Fragmentation Grenade" yeets shrapnel you can see. This is a very poor excuse for why they can't put the shrapnel back in. The orbital blats (air burst, and gatling barrage) are kind of still not great. The problem is that the game's RNG will always put it so that the random yeeting spread of projectiles from both coming down will some how always Matrix their way between the appendages of the enemies if they're not something mahoosive like chargers or tanks. Like if you try to air burst a horde of hunters, you'll get maybe 3, but everything else survives. I've honestly used the Air Burst the same way I've used the Gas Strike. If it's able to, you can get it to come in as a solid round and strike Automaton Fabricators before it actually bursts and blow them up. But I am glad that they're getting back on track with their arcade multiplayer horde shooter. 9 bile titans can hardly be called a horde if that's just what spawns as standard. The "death by 10,000,000 cuts" hordes are a bit more cathartic to mow down. Both are cathartic, but it's the difference between Dynasty Warriors and Dark Souls. Do you find more joy seeing and entire section of the battlefield fall from your cannon fire or are you into getting your rectum fed to you while it's still attached? To each their own.

i actually have been running iwth the missle turret the past month or so because it does tend to focus on large enemies first and the ammo lasts longer. where as the autocannon will focus on small or large enemies first (random) this buff should make the missle turret even better.

Reading those patch notes is the highlight of my week. So glad they made all the automatic weapons better. 10% less recoil while standing still and scoped (first person). Super cool! The only thing I’m skeptical of is the Eruptor change. It needs to one tap a spewer to the face, one tap the backpack on a devastator.

My only complaint is the final upgrade on your ship is meant to give each eagle strike and extra missle dropped. Each part of the way the 110 pods were part of it but the final upgrade leaves off the 110 pods for some reason. I run crowd control for my squad and the 110 pods allow me to stay in the fight without clearing the area for a bigger boom. Just want my extra missle so these alien scum can feel that Democracy I’m about to spread.
