Brazilian Portuguese’s VA is easily my favorite besides English. He understood and knew the tone and volume of his voice that he should have for every line. The intro is a mix of badass, satire, and being over the top. And he follows that perfectly.

In my opinion, trying my best to ignore my native language, I believe the voice that sounded most familiar was the Brazilian one. I mean, the voice that felt most comfortable to hear, and the one that best matched the character for me.

After listening to this intro addictively several times, heheh, and trying not to be biased (I'm Brazilian) , I like the pt-br and en versions the most! Dont know why, but they feel more comfortable, soothing , satirical when needed and appear to have more vocal range/different intonations. i think my favorite out of all of these, besides english because its the only one i understand, is german. i rank them on a few things: how the much the first few lines sounds like a regular old commercial or infomercial how well the actor's voice changes when he changes from civilian to citizen how well the voice changes between the various scenes of bug-killing. don't like it when they all sound the same, like it when he actually sounds like he's shouting, whispering, near, far, etc how well the last 4 lines sound. bonus when i can hear "democracy" and "galaxy" rhyme, and the 3 "become a..." lines sound similar out of all of these, the german one sounds best weirdly enough, the one i like the least is the japanese version, that isnt shown in this video

Japanese voice actors are notoriously bad with having a good range when it comes to their voice acting with how strict the VA industry is over there. But I will admit that in terms of sounding badass, the Japanese on is up there. The whole point though is that the intro is not meant to just be badass and nothing else. The Portuguese one I think easily takes the cake of following the spirit of the intro the most and the voice actor knew exactly what tone each line should have.

Some are good in the second part, orthers in the first, but the 3 I like both are constant in the both parts of the trailler. One thing I don't understand about Spanish dubs is that why don't they just use one dub: the Latin American variant. I'm pretty sure the average Spaniard could understand Latin American Spanish just like Brits with American English and the Portuguese with Brazilian Portuguese.

We use certain words different and some expressions might sound off in the other language. The accent are also different and although some can get close, a Spanish speaker would notice the difference. It is also a that sometimes I’ve seen people want their own version of the thing, even in ridiculous scenarios like text translations. People in Spain like their translations, people in Latin American make fun of some Spanish translation. Most people just like it that way. I also think in the case of the Brit’s is more of “it’s a an American game and it’s in English at the end of the day.” I and I mean, you see two versions of a dub appear in Spanish when the product in question was originally in another language. None would dub a Spanish film to Latin American Spanish, nor viceversa. Also, I just mention this in friendly terms~ I actually never thought about it until now :)

Al final es cuestion de Gusto de esa manera se elige con que mas le gusta al Jugador.

Good point. Portuguese pt and Brazilian pt are even more different in pronunciation and vocab, but there is just one version. I'd be fine were it be the Portuguese variant ( im br), but the ptbr sound more natural and soothing

No wonder, English is gaining ground globally. I'm for multilingualism but at this rate of disagreements among the different dialects of Spanish and Arabic, the decreasing popularity of French in West Africa and Russian in Central Asia and Eastern Europe and don't get me started with Chinese, ENGLISH is now the global lingua franca by default. PS: I actually wanna learn Spanish and I would prefer learn the Latin American variant because it's more common thanks to Hollywood.

@@jota_coelho my good sir, you have an interesting point. However, it would be wise to unite the Portuguese-speaking world and the Brazilian variant is the ideal one. Otherwise, I fear the dialects of Brazil and Portuguese would morph into separate languages. I actually believe both nations should have one year in basic education to exposure each other to each other dialects to reduce unintelligibility.
