The host then kicks me out of the game and I assume takes my samples and extracts. It is 1000% a problem. Assholes like that don't deserve to play social games.

The issue is the matchmaking system is mad inconsistent. I don’t generally kick ever, but I had to the other day to make room for a friend. This is because people don’t have mics or don’t speak the same language. So as much as a lot of people are petty, not everybody gets kicked out of malice. The games matchmaking is janky and needs some adjustment and much clearer guidelines for operation. I have joined on somebody who was just chilling without a mission prepped.

I once was on a suicide difficulty mission and in the middle of the mission the guy just decided to kick me. That same game session it took me 7 tries before actually getting a team that weren't either leaving or a team that didn't just kick me for no reason.

Theres too many bugs that can kill you, from randomly getting launched back to the ship(nice view tho), to having invisible things kill you,like terrain,bodies,live enemies, dead enemies that are alive on the hosts screen, to an entirely invisible metior shower.

Kicking someone in the lobby with zero interaction, is a little rude. Kicking someone after they helped you complete everything in a helldiver difficulty fight at extraction with the bird coming down.. There is a dark dark place where we should lock away traitorous behavior like that.

The kicking problem is from lack of transparency. It's instant and there is no communicated reason for why. Easy fix would for the host to just select an option for why they're kicking a player so that it tells the player why they were kicked

Nope. Not with a maximum of 4 people. Literally all it takes is a troll or asshole player to bring 1 friend and the vote kick system becomes completely moot. This is a common problem in games with votekick systems

The grenade thing is kinda fair tbh. If you're trying to throw a grenade and get ragdolled, suddenly the game leaves you with a grenade equipped and it's easy to blow yourself up with an impact grenade not realizing the game just force switched you. It's really annoying because no other game works that way so you aren't instinctually on guard for it.

There is one simple solution for kicking problem. As I've read the comments the most dev side problem with kicks was when players were boarding pelican and were kicked by host. Just disable kicking when pelican is called, or when the main objective is complete and allow the pelican activation when the the whole team is in range.

Ok the Grenade thing, all I want to do is quick throw a grenade. Then suddenly I’m yeeting all my grenades, even though I used the quick throw mechanic so my Diver should automatically switch back to my previous weapon. It’s the quick throw that’s buggy and really should be fixed.

Kicking is not nearly as big of an issue as people make it out to be. Sure some people are assholes with it but those situations are rare and can be easily avoided by playing with friends or hosting your own game. If your constantly getting kicked theres probably a reason for that.

Kicking wouldn't be much of an issue if the devs actually fixed and balanced the stratagems in a way that doesn't make people who take the scuffed ones a liability for the team. I've noticed that most of the time that I don't use my mic, even if I do well, or even carry the team occasionally, the entire squad usually ends up splitting up after one go, but if I'm active in the text chat or voice, they usually want to run another game or two, bc even one person loosely managing things, or even just checking to see if anyone needs the supplies called in does a world of good in making them feel more comfortable and capable as a unit. I usually play at 4 most of the time bc for some reason, I can't hardly get anyone to join my SOS beacons, but one random team I found had no mics but we kept in touch through in game chat. I was enjoying myself and only died once to the bugs, and it took me seeing 3 Bile Titans (one dead) at once to realize 'I don't think this is a level 4 anymore' the leader had cranked it to a 6 or 7 on us but since we were in it for the laughs no one even noticed the crazy stuff being thrown at us

I got kicked for "calling in the extraction shuttle and boarding the craft first" while host was completing a automaton factory/spawning zone.but I did not call in the shuttle and I was literally 3rd on the shuttle with less than 1 sec to spare. and the person who kicked me got left behind. and the stratagems were disabled due to timer running out 30-40 sec before we extracted

nah sometimes i’ll pull my grenade out and then a couple seconds later go to throw it and there will literally be nothing in my hand and i have to press the button again that dude was valid

never had that problem, frankly pull it out about half a second before using it, then put it away, its better to have your primary or support ready than a grenade where you can run into an enemy where throwing a grenade wont end well (As most people use impacts)

@@provoked-_- I mean I dont use grenades often, normally its just 4 grenades at an all maruder class bot group, takes em all out and then I pretty much never use grenades otherwise. Impacts can be used close range, which I define as DO NOT THROW, Just far enough away, Long to impossible grenade throws. just far enough for impacts is normally a bridge worth.

Hmm the grenade one, might make sense cause like there are times where im using a grenade to take out a bug hole/fabricator or opening one of those Crates and then got to call a stratagem and after tossing it the Grenade is still in my hand. Sometimes i kill myself cause i think it switched to the gun but it didnt and i go to ads a bug/bot throw the mipact grenade and blow myself up. Idk if thats what he meant lol

I’ve been kicked a lot by randoms. I’ll join, help do side quests and main missions, collect samples etc. then right before we board the pelican I get kicked. 40 minutes down the drain for no experience, samples or medals. That is a problem it’s happened about 10 times so far for me

140 hours and not once, but once when grinding samples I left it on public, a rank 8 joined and just spam killed me for no reason (I fired one shot over his head because he wasnt paying attention when I asked for help with a bunker, he was not doing anything just running in another direction while I kept 'follow me')

I don't get kicked in 99% of games because: I'm chill AF, medicinal marijuana patient. I'm 37 year old, mature. I follow people when I join their games. I don't throw grenades at enemies right next to teammates. I don't call airstrikes right down on people's heads. I know what is annoying for people, like respawning them across the map, or respawning them on a bug breach, and subsequently don't do any of it. I throw out hugs and rock scissors paper on the ship. Say WP after hard games where people maybe didn't play their best. Always rack up the most melee kills (I think I'm world no.1 in melee kills) and it's entertaining to watch lmfao. I have 28 years of FPS / Shooting game experience so I rock the shit outta the game. I pick powerful abilities appropriate for the difficulty I'm on. I ping when enemies are behind allies. I watch 360 and nullify Joel spawns. You can do a bunch of things that are positive and inspiring to other people to make sure you don't get kicked. The ONLY times I've been kicked were: When mechs were given for free the weekend before they were released, a guy's mech blew up, and he accused everyone on his team and kicked us all. And, just last week actually. This guy was panicking because the bug holes closing mission only had 15 minutes on it, so he was spam pinging for me to split up away from him and go solo bug holes. Nah bro I'm good I'm not splitting off in heavy armour. We got this. I throw a laser down on the outpost. He turns around and shoots me!!! And then kicks me. I'm convinced that was a narcissistic, autistic little 9 year old prick and it was a complete anomaly. Really, honestly, I hate to say it, but if you're getting kicked a lot, you really need to look at why. The game has given the host the ultimate power. And people are gonna use it. They're gonna make up their own petty little childish list of rules and if you break any of them - you're out. But for the most part, these rules are somewhat credible. Like if you steal someone's stuff after they die. Or if you keep friendly firing them.

I don't think there is a solution proper for the 100% avoidable kicking problem (i.e. hosting or playing with friends if you have them). It's either allow it or don't allow it at all. Considering the cheaters, toxic folks, genuinely garbage trolls (i.e. doing shit like wasting your reinforcements or losing samples down holes intentionally), and the occasional need to allow a friend to join mid game, removing the ability to kick is just not an option
