Pro-tip from the devs (not me): the enemies respond to loud noises but will ignore the first instance. So when helldivers drop and immediately start calling down support gear all the enemies in range get pinged twice and come running. Get some distance from the dropzone before deploying your gear, it'll save you the hastle of having to retrieve it off your body 1 minute later.

Once that second helldiver came in the hulk and several devastators proceeded to pound the crap out of us for several minutes until we were finally able to make it away with just a few responds left. Also, I would argue that it's more of giving you a warzone experience, and quiet moments are just as much a factor as the louder ones.

(edit: i made this comment cuz i was kinda mad at first, but after a few days i ranked up & got to the higher difficulties & the game is actually rly fun now. still disappointed with the graphics on PS5 tho, should be a lot better, but the game is actually fun af ngl. unedited comment below) I just got the game cuz everyone said it was sooo good, but it's boring, it's repetitive, the graphics are poorly optimized on PS5 with either graphics modes (the performance mode being the worst of the two, literally looking like PS3 graphics & that's not an exaggeration), every single party i join is just trying to farm credits instead of actually playing the game. Was surprised Helldivers2 got this successful. I mean we have been eyeing it forever since we were fans of the first one... I guess the camera change (and the removal of "1 camera for all players") made it much more accessible. Was one of the biggest problems with Magicka 1-2 as well, not to mention how the camera got locked during an arena fight and you couldn't move from a very tiny area usually.

One of my buddies did this to one of my other buddies. We're both level 40, he was like a level 6 or 7. We did really good until Buddy #1 disconnected. Then it was me and Buddy #3. We made it to exfil, with all the super rare samples. It was either 3 or 6. But we scrambled and somehow made it into the ship with 30ish seconds on the clock. Add on: And we had one life between the two of us. I made him the sample holder and told him as soon as that Pelican door opens get your ass in. I hopped in my mech for the last 30 seconds or so to pull aggro. It somehow worked and I ran out of ammo in the mech so I bailed pretty much right into the Pelican. As soon as I got into the Pelican, a barrage of rockets hit my mech. A lot of crap happens in 3 seconds.
