the game is designed to make you think about what guns you use when, and when to reload them. With a machine gun for example if you reload with 1 or 2 bullets in the chamber it is quicker that completely changing the mag on empty. It's terrifying but worth it once you understand which loadout to use for which missions.

The servers are fixed now. I haven't seen a queue since the servers were expanded 3 days ago. And the way the game work it just wouldn't work offline anyway. The game is about the whole community tackling objectives together, kind of like Planetside 2 or Foxhole, but Coop instead of Pvp.

I highly doubt there will ever be an offline mode, that would defeat the entire purpose of the game.

@@kami3449 what do you mean? An offline mode would let people that can't get into coop play without any restrictions. I would just be playing solo with bots. Don't know how an offline mode kills the purpose.

@theInfra-Recon Because the whole purpose is saving the planets, if you're offline your contributions wont go towards that. Every player is working together towards the goal of keeping the bugs and automatons away from super earth. After every mission/campaign your contributions go towards the planets liberation percentage, the more we win on a planet the more it gets liberated and vice versa. I just dont see them putting in an offline mode for that reason. Not to mention server hell is over with, they have vastly increased the server capacity during the past week so its no longer an issue.

There is no offline mode, but if you want to prevent random people from joining you can set your preferences so that only friends are able to jump into your missions. I'll be honest too, they seem to have fixed a lot of the server issues. A recent update added more lobbies and, having recently purchased the game, I have yet to experience any wait time to play.
