I was an eruptor main and it needed a buff. I'm fine with the middle ground frag sharpel. Trade off it's so slow and need stalwart as back-up

Facts. Plus, shooting into a group of enemies and killing 2 scavangers when there's like 9 is dumb. Even on the bots side it stopped killing walkers effeciently. Even if there's 2 and i'll shoot the one behind so the explosion hits the "driver" they won't die unless i shoot it twice. For low rounds per mag and how slow it shoots, it was very ineffective at doing what it was supposed to do. I used to use it more than my autocanon to the point i started rocking the HMG because the Eruptor was enough.

I just hope it can 1-shot devastators to the body, or at least to the face like counter sniper. Seriously, the slow exploding bolt action needs to deal at least as much as damage as the semi auto dmr.

Agreed. The Eruptor was busted on release (a well-placed shot could 1-shot a Brood Commander, or take out like 12 weaker enemies, which is wild). However, they removed the shrapnel and said "oh, but we're buffing the explosion damage, so it'll feel like an overall buff..." Except that its single-target damage is no longer amazing and it can't get through armor, and its explosion radius is far too small for it to work as an AoE weapon. Shrapnel really is what made the weapon work well.

I believe what the devs might use those ship panels for is for a Helldiver lore database where we can look up all the enemy types (strengths, weaknesses), planet types, environments, etc so we can gather intel on what we’re fighting?

See I like this but I’d also like it to serve as like a clan hub as well as that function. If they wanted more regular play and a fun incentive making clans akin to like Destiny 2 or something would be cool. Plus above it I believe it says “Bureaus” or something along the line of a Bureau n anyone is welcome to correct me if I’m wrong but I remember in the early days not long after launch one of the AH devs had mentioned they intended to have it serve as a clan hub later down the line.

Yep. Their likely best option would be to tweak the threats encountered in each difficulty on a level by level basis. We have 10 difficulty levels for them to make changes to and sort of tweak difficulty from the other direction. Don't hinder player capability, bump up the challenge on a more granular level from the other direction. People beating 10 against bugs too easily" Oh no, the automatons caught a bile titan and mounted a factory strider cannon on its back and miniguns on its belly!

@@GamingWithGeo I didn’t say anything about keep using the meta. I constantly switch support equipments to try to have fun, but they got severely restricted on 9 and 10 especially when you play bot. Can’t have too much with support weapons like Machine gun, railgun, and arc thrower when you may have gun ships, rocket that can 1 shot you from scout strider. Don’t make an excuse by saying you can relying on other players when you got swarm or constant stun lock.

I think the problem people have had with nerfing is two fold. 1: The nerfs were almost always clearly over done, making the weapons near useless. 2: The nerfs typically didn’t coincide with a buff for a different weapon to add a viable replacement for the nerfed weapon. I think people would be a lot more open to nerfs if the changes were more minor and the patches included relevant buffs to. Think of it more as a rebalancing patch rather than a nerfing patch. Yes I understand it is more work to do this, I am simply expressing an opinion.

I'm consistently puzzled when people talk about "where's the new faction?" or "they could have implemented that feature by now if they weren't fixing things all the time." Helldivers had a TEN YEAR lifecycle. The vast majority of players do not play a game for months straight, they put in a few weeks and move on. Perhaps sometimes returning. Releasing a whirlwind of content to try to pander to people who are going to leave anyway doesn't work. We will see their plans when it's time for them to happen. The idea that they're going to blow their whole load in the first year or two of the game's lifecycle is NUTS. A good community for leaks is immensely good for the health of games, unfortunately, Helldivers 2 was plagued immediately with a sensationalist "leaks as content" community online reporting every stupid thing as if it was only a week or two away.

The eruptor needed to get its shrapnel back, it was a unique gun that required some skill to understand how to direct the shrapnel into the weak spots of enemies. Removing the shrapnel made it boring and bringing back shrapnel is important cause we need more unique guns that do things differently and not just fire shotgun #3 and AR #69.

the reason the shrapnel on the eruptor was op is that they from my understanding used the airburst shrapnel, so it did way too much damage, but like they said in the video, it's not going to be doing 9000 damage when it gets buffed.

I think that at the end is a voting terminal in lore for super earth elections so my guess is it’ll be used to vote in new war bonds and stratagems, idk why it just always made sense to me that that’s what it was

I was arc thrower user, this weapon was awesome pre-nerf and after nerf. Sometimes its clunky when you aim at things close to you but you learn to play around it.

Did you even listen to what the devs said? The Eruptor shrapnel before the nerf was the wrong shrapnel. It was using orbital airburst damage values. Giving it frag grenade level shrapnel will not undo that nerf, it just makes it the weapon that was advertised.

Eruption shrapnel... It seems to me that there should be shrapnel in any explosion, a grenade, a shell, a bomb, no matter what exploded, it had an outer layer, and it scatters in sharp hot fragments in all directions ... in my opinion sounds logical

i think that monitor panel is for cosmetic customization. like the paint for your armor, weapon skins, drop pod and exosuits, but devs were rushed and put it in modules instead

Eruptor might not be useless right now, it is pretty ok, but taking off the shrapnel (even if it was bugged) took what made the gun unique and fun. It just became a exploding round sniper. They should do more of what they are proposing right now, if something is bugged they have to trully fix it, not take away something from the player without giving much back because of a mistake they made.

I think the jar dominator needed the shrapnel or explosive damage more than the eruptor as its labled under explosive. Its not as powerful as it used to be but still solid. I remember taking out most medium armored bugs with like two shots, now its like half a clip and has a slow reload. And it might just be the lable but im pretty sure it was explosive before, it penetrated better than the scorcher with the added explosive damage.

Arrowhead's definition of nerf or balance are apparently on a different scale than players'. It has broader effects like overall ammo availability which compounds on how many shots it takes to penetrate enemy armor or emphasis on enemy weak points. So they have plenty of ways to maintain difficulty without touching weapon stats. Balancing based on feedback from the hardcore 5-8 percent of the player base has never ended well for balancing games.

I’m hoping for a tiered, A-B primary/secondary upgrade system some time. For example, 3 upgrade tiers and a choice on each tier between two modifications that change a part of the weapons functioning - something like choosing between faster shooting or harder hitting. Could also include something to do with ammunition modifiers, ie armor pen vs incendiary. Regardless, the 17th can’t come soon enough!

Cookie is right about one thing that there is SO Much about the game that hasnt been done or released yet. How many different stratagems, weapons, etc... have been leaked since at least March and till havemt come about yet. Like wheres our Air to Air Eagle strike to take out flying enemies or wheres our Squad based bot call ins etc... i do hope that after this update and warbond come out (please be good) that they can go back to focusing on those items.

I don't know why people won't admit that on launch, the Eruptor was busted AF. It was a primary that was stronger than the AMR and it wasn't even remotely close. It did not fit the level of power we had available to us as primaries.

The eruptor is garbage what is that guy going on about? A bolt action Astartes mass reactive round self propelled BOLT gun!! With long spm and 5 round mag should destroy devastators in 1-2 shits on there strongest spots and after shrap was removed it became useless and should be slightly more powerful then AMR with all the slowness of it.

I think they can keep the buffs and nerfs based on major orders. If we are dominating MOs better buffs, if we are losing MOs nerfs. Especially per faction and types of guns. Giving the community a reason to care about the MOs. I actually thought that was the case until we wiped out the bots and our weapons got nerfed, it felt like punishment

At this point with the style of content that helldivers is why don’t we have planetary traversal like being able to travel from area to area by calling a ship or something in order to continue an operation I feel like there’s so much potential in the operation system where they could have an insane amount of content I know that is a lot of development but this is something that I wish for in the future

eruptor: have to reload slowly between each shot, potential to damage or kill you and team mates with shrapnel. That’s the downside - plus side is the AOE and damage output. It was nerfed to the ground imo - but I agree the shrapnel needed to be re designed. It would one shot most med armour enemies. I don’t think it’ll do that now.

I wish theyd make the customization stuff and weapon upgrades cost requisition points instead of samples. It already takes long enough for me to get enough samples for just one upgrade at my level, and the VAST majority of the time, I'm sittin on a pile of 50,000 requisition points and there are no stratagems that I wanna buy.

If you think it's too easy, step up and play level 10 without using any stratagems or weapons other than melee. Do you know how many pistol whips it takes to down a Bile Titan, Charger or Hulk? I do.

Eh, the first eruptor was kind of broken. You could just shoot the ground under a charger and kill it in a few shots. That was the main reason they removed shrapnel altogether. Needed a tweak but a complete nerf into the floor wasn't what was wanted

I fully expect them to make everything op in an attempt to show the community that they were right and everything should be weak cause it's not fun to be so strong, or to add a bunch of quiet buffs to enemies so all these buffs aren't as big as they seem. Either way it's going to be buggy as hell!

its ya boy, the guy that wrote that one "eruptor was gutted" post, i dont wanna hear anyone think that thing doesn't need this, you cant even fight one stalker with it as it is now, takes 3 to 4 shots, theyre not bringing it back to full theyre just making it not a throw pick (i still pick it all the time and cope cause its not good, its not even good at killing the little bugs unless its a direct hit), the shrapnel was the heart of that gun and it needs it. im more surprised by the ark thrower, i wont complain cause i love the gun, it couldnt kill titans sure but it can currently still deal with most enemies in the game. (Also how dare you say no one wears the lightning resist armor, i wear the ark resist armor because it looks fucking sick)

We completed the last 2 major orders my guy. We have enough people but kill count major orders are difficult and also a lot of the playerbase doesn't like bots over bugs. Also keep in mind that we use to fail major orders even with a 6 digits player count. AH need to allow us to unlock the napalm barrage through a bug MO. We just came off of a bot MO which we completed but people are tired of fighting bots and went over to the bug side which complicates things when trying to liberate planets again against the bots.

I've been counting on the 20,000+ fighting on the bug side to handle the major order and been concentrating on the bots trying to get us the napalm as well. I hope we do both.

@TresTrefusis Yup, that's right. I logged on right now to check on the planet status. We got Mastia liberated, and Tarsh is 1/3 liberated with 17+ hours left. I've seen us liberate full planets in 12 hours with fewer players than the 15k on Tarsh right now. It's looking good for us so far. Just need to finish the job, and the barrage is ours. Now, when it comes to the major order, that's a lost cause.

I wear arc armor all the time. So does most of my team. Because the Blitzer is one of the most used weapons on the bug side now. So you saying no one is using Arc weapons is one hundred percent incorrect.

On the nerfing by AH so far - what we've seen from the devs has been a philosophy of "keep the status quo". Keep everything at a certain point, whatever that point is. Now the game is out, the devs have seen this philosophy is wrong and they have changed it to be more in line with what the players want. The thing is, in game development, things take time, and as game creators, you have a goal you're wishing to achieve. Going to paint an abstract painting only to realise it's becoming a landscape can be a concerning experience, especially when you have a crowd behind you yelling at you to keep painting that landscape. Do you keep doing your own thing and make it yours wholly, or do what the crowd wants? In this instance, I feel AH has really listened and really wants to work with their fans to make a great game, and we're seeing steps in the right direction. Balance will come, in the form of nerfs, later. But things will be different going forth.

What is this nonsense? Can't you pick the right difficulty out of 10 where you feel comfortable? Why does the highest difficulty have to be easy? What the hell is the point?

they could easily remove all meta in the game, set all enemy hp values to 1 and set all weapon damage to 1.

You guys' games must be more consist because my game get so bad we can't even extract, they will just overwhelm me at the LZ. Also did any of you notice when you drop off the specimen at LZ, and when you leave no enemies will show-up?

Yeah I definitely don't know why he was going on about the erupter not needing that change. It definitely did need a buff If you actually use the erupter it had the orbital shrapnel, and it's not going to get that anymore, it's going to get frag grenade shrapnel and even more on top of that but it's definitely not going to be as potent as it was at release but it will be closer to that.

They need to get the game balanced so they can start pushing out CONTENT i.e deeper customisation, progression, cosmetics, warbonds war progression, missions etc.
