32:40 I feel like it doesn't get discussed enough how Clara is wearing various shades of purple (or at the very least, wearing her purple lilac/lavender[?] broach) as we watch Doc fall in love with her....And then in the end we see Doc, Clara, and their kids all have bright pops of purple in their clothes (even the train time machine's got bright purple accents!!)..... Kinda obsessed with interpreting this as Doc being fully consumed in loving and being loved by Clara 🥹💜💜💜 Edit: just read up on how purple is often the symbolic colour of blossoming love/romance 😭💜💜💜

Purple used to be the color of royalty and the Pope. They way they used to make purple was from snails on the bottom of the sea. So it was extremely expensive to make that color and only the royalty wore it. The Pope to this day wears purple.

Fun fact: During the hanging scene at the beginning, Michael J. Fox accidentally really hanged and started to choke and nobody realized thinking, he was acting. At the last moment the director realized it is all too believable to be an act and they cut him down. Fox decided to finish the scene regardless, hence the sore throat of his you hear when he says "you did" to the doc is the result of an actual hanging and wasn't scripted.

This trilogy resonates because it’s such a wholesome friendship between Marty and Emmett. When we come upon them in the first movie, they are already friends. And the friendship didn’t need to be explained. How did a high school kid become friends with a scatterbrained local scientist? The friendship is represented so solidly between them that no exposition needed to be made, like in those buddy cop movies where two oddballs bond over the course of the movie. We meet Marty and Doc as ready made friends, allowing the plot to delve straight into their adventures. What a trilogy.

Nikki, you got the point of this trilogy so well. The fan base has grown by leaps and bounds as the years have gone by, and new generations of fans continue to discover and love this trilogy of films. And look at how it has expanded out into other mediums. An animated series. A theme park ride. A musical. A fully interactive video game with a great storyline. A yearly event recreating Hill Valley 1885 for the fans. Countless convention appearances by the actors. And a slew of all new comic books written by Bob Gale himself. And even a crossover comic book event with The Transformers. All of this and more. I am glad you enjoyed the trilogy, it is, pun intended, timeless.

I just found this channel. I have really enjoyed watching you watch the BTTF trilogy. I watched all three of these films in real time, in the movie theater, when each of them came out. The original BTTF is one of my favorite films of all time and essentially turned me into a time travel junkie. Your reactions are so heartfelt and brought me back to the time I first experienced these films. I'm going to say - i'm little surprised that III is your favorite, but I'm glad you appreciate it. In fact, I teared up myself watching your emotional reaction to III. Something that did not happen when I watched it myself for the first time. I think the sequels got a bit of a bad rap when they came out, because a lot of people felt they didn't live up to the first movie. I sort of felt that way myself when I saw each of the sequels in the movie theater. But upon rewatching these films over the years, I have definitely warmed up to the trilogy as a unified piece of work. The first film will always be my favorite, though. Love your channel - especially Cairo - who is clearly a very soulful pup.

@@hellonikkilu Okay, today is Easter, and I have a few "Easter Eggs" for you. These are my personal opinions and observances, and may be a touch lengthy. (You might also enjoy my comment to BTTF #1 about how Marty met and befriends Doc.) > Marty is named after his great-great-Uncle Martin, who was Seamus' brother (and got killed with a 'Bowie Knife' in Virginia City trying to prove he wasn't "yellow"). This is a McFly trait - George has an inherent lack of courage which is also indicated in William (baby in 1885) who "doesn't take well to strangers". > Marty's aversion to being called "chicken" (or 'yellow') is probably a psychological reaction of growing up seeing his father's in-grown fears and insecurities, and their results (mainly as being manipulated by Biff). > "A. Jones" (the 1885 manure hauler) is the great-grandfather of "D. Jones", the 1955 manure hauler. > Pat Buttram (the third old-timer in the saloon) is a veteran western actor who also played (among other things) Mr. Haney in Green Acres, the voice of toon bullet #1 in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit", and Roy Roger's jeep-driving sidekick. > In the "New" 1985 in BTTF #1, Dave is going to "the office" in a suit. But this is on a Sunday, which (if the film has a continuity of sorts), indicates that he's probably now a weekend executive for Burger King. > In addition to Marty, Doc Brown is also known to Stricklin (BTTF #1) and Biff (BTTF #2). > Being late for things is a McFly trait; Marty is constantly late for school, and 'original' Dave is also usually late for work. > In BTTF #3, on the "Steam-powered" train time machine, the flux capacitor is on the train's headlight - it's briefly the very last thing seen in the trilogy as the train passes into time. And, as Doc says to Marty, he's NOT going "Back To The Future", since the last thing that occurs is the train activating time travel, we assume the Doc & family are returning to a past point in time. Where and why? He does not dare mess up the timeline again (unless he somehow puts everything back as it was originally - which creates a Back To The Future time-loop).

The first one will always have a special place in my heart. I saw it on my 9th birthday when we rented a VCR and my two best friends stayed over for a sleepover. Seriously, loved it, will always loved it, and I don't have a lick of shame about it. I still think it's one of the most tightly-written time-travel movies. THIS one came out when I was 13. I saw it on my first date, lol. The boy was a terrible snob who did nothing but brag about how much money his family had (what a shame! we'd been friends since we were six and he ended up being such a jerk). BUT THE MOVIE WAS GREAT. A+, great ending. Best ending in trilogy history! I'm so glad you enjoyed it so much! Warms my heart that the movies are still hitting hard.

@@BlackavarWD Both. Back then we couldn't afford to own a VCR but you could rent one from the video store. We did it maybe a couple of times a year on special occasions, usually Friday night sleepovers/pizza nights and the like.

Ya the 3rd one is so good and comes together the 1-2 so well. When it came out I was 14, so we did a lot of skateboarding to be cool like Marty. We would skate parking garages. Ya this was such a cool movie. I remember a friend of mine that I briefly dated, she loved this movie. Sadly she is now gone, but I'm glad you found the pleasure of this series. They don't make many triologies this damn good.
