I like that this seems to put more emphasis on the lore of the "configurations" because I always felt like the puzzle boxes were one of the cooler aspects of the settings but always got treated as a simple plot device as opposed to part of the mystery. Cautiously optimistic but it looks like the people behind this are putting a lot of thought into the setting and lore of the story instead of just making a scary movie and riding the coattails of a franchise name. It CERTAINLY looks better than a majority of the Hellraiser sequels

My only disappointment is that they're not re-adapting the novella with book-accurate cenobites and Kirsty as Larry/Rory's love interest rather than his daughter. Some of the changes Clive made in the original film were kind of puzzling. But yes, it looks pretty good!

Its more accurate to the hellbound heart, but doesnt tell the same story. It seems to share a lot of similar threads as hellraiser 2. I would imagine it has the potential to start a new series for the film, though.

NGL, since this iteration of the character is closer to the description in "The Hellbound Heart", I kinda wish they'd gone with that version of the voice, "Its voice, unlike that of its companion, was light and breathy--the voice of an excited girl. They're obviously not trying to compete the 1st originally cult classic Hellraiser but shooting for the level of the 2nd movie Hellbound and hopefully giving us fans what we wanted.
