"Of course I put sugar in the mashed potatoes! It's what my mom always did!" is absolutely something you do with mashed potatoes. Dehydrated, boxed, instant potatoes to be precise. A teaspoon of sugar along with the butter/margarine and milk that the instructions call for gives you a balanced taste to DEHYDRATED food. Real potatoes DO NOT NEED SUGAR!

@LiterallyMe914 күн бұрын
4:44 Gordon is actually wrong here. That is a classic Indian dish, specifically from the South Indian State of Kerala. It is a dish called "Meen Pollichathu" (Fish Broiled or steamed, idk the exact english translation) Now of course, the lady didn't make it properly. It takes hours and hours to make, and is filled with spices. The whole fish is steamed in the banana leaf, which makes it tender and the meat just falls off from the bones. It is absolutely divine. But. That is still an Indian dish. Just because Gordon has been to India doesn't mean he knows everything in India. And this shows his ignorance of non classical French, Italian and English food.
@ShadowMoon8783 күн бұрын

That remark is also honestly quite ignorant, just because you've been, doesn't mean you know every single dish, even if he is a renowned chef. Also, the representation of it is similar to the actual dish, so I'd get it if it looked bizarre, but it looked normal ish, flavor wise probably not.
