I felt so bad for Elsie in this episode, the way the team threw her under the bus because she won the challenge on soup. I admire the fact she didn't throw them under the bus when asked if she thought she had support from her team during dinner service. She didn't have their support, but she didn't throw them under the bus. Broke my heart.

You don't have to be skinny to call someone fat. In fact, as a fatty himself, I'd say he has more licence to call someone fat than anyone else. He said it with quite a bit of contempt, but as a fatso himself it's hard to get offended by his specific use of the word fat. Were he a skinny, that's a different story altogether.
@carloszestyboy2901
@carloszestyboy2901 Жыл бұрын
@Michael Heliotis Nah I think it makes someone look like a bleeding hypocrite. If you don’t have the discipline to lose weight (aware of his more recent weight loss but not at the time) but then call someone else way smaller than you fat because they also don’t have the discipline to lose weight, it makes you look like you have zero self-awareness. You don’t HAVE to be skinny but it definitely gives more credence to the two different levels of discipline and awareness. On top of that Robert’s shown to be a vindictive asshole some times so it’s not really surprising,

The difference between how Ramsay/the show treated Elsie and Julia is shameful and shocking. While in S1 the other chefs disliked her because of her non-chef background at least Ramsay always had her back. Meanwhile in S3 Julia's Waffle House job is almost always treated as an insult even if she's getting a point. And is it just me or is it weird that he gave a point towards a bowl of tomato soup yet thought steak and fish were beneath the challenge?

Most of the contestants beside Michael, Ralph and Chris are not even professional chefs and it felt like Masterchef. But since Season 3, the bar and the standard are high since the first 2 seasons, the customers are mostly leaving because the food takes too long. What's interesting to me is that here we are basically plating one dinner for one person. In a restaurant environment you are going to have an entire pan load of something that didn't sell So you're going to have to turn that into something tomorrow not cute fresh ingredients that you've only got one or two of. You chop those up and add them as filler and something. We're talking a hotel pan full of braised beef that didn't sell. So the next day you have a roast beef sandwich on the special for lunch or if the taste is appropriate you make chef's choice chili. That's where I get talking about leftovers. It's not what's left over in the pantry after a service it's what didn't sell. Because that's the majority of your waste

For anyone who remembers Season One, don’t you disdain the aftermath of this episode where Ralph was flabbergasted enough that he lost to Elsie?? He HAD to try the soup too; and the pompous guy he was, didn’t acknowledge how good it could have been!!

I think Gordon's definition of leftovers differs very much from mine. Scraping the mould off cheese.. and eggs that don't float? Stale crisps and yesterdays chewy stagnant noodles with ketchup are nowhere to be seen 😁 Wtf? Luxury! 🎉
