Nice moment with the microphone. Normally you just see footage of the great JFK speeches, not one at street level, surrounded by people and family with malfunctioning mic. You can see how he gets out of that and works around the trouble and disperse audience, and builds up his speech gathering strenght. Great footage.

The Kennedy campaign motorcade had just passed a few blocks away from Hillary Rodham's house in Park Ridge on its way up to Libertyville from O'Hare Inn. This was two weeks to the day before the Kennedy-Nixon showdown. JFK made gave ten speeches that day. The next stop was Barrington, which you can view here on KZbin. There is a color film of him speaking in Elgin in the NW suburbs on KZbin also.

It's sweet in a family sort of way how JFK brings his sisters into these public speeches. On his visit to Europe in '63 making stops in W Berlin and Ireland, he had his sisters close by then too. He had a very attractive family and I think they enjoyed rallying around his and earlier Joe Sr's political pursuits.

JFK is the best President of the USA. JFK(USA) and Nikita Khruschev (USSR) Who save the world from the Holocaust or Nuclear war that we can live up so far at the sacrifice of his life at dallas Texas,his bosom friend Nikita Khruschev came down from his Presidency the year after JFK assassination . Man, where Kennedy was talking I remember a skater kid almost dying right at that spot attempting a "railslide" and he smashed his head.... This was in the mid-90's tho.....
