Tip for the Pacifica, there's a stow and go button on the B pillar right under the front seats which moves the front seat out of the way for you to fold the seat down, then it'll move the seat back to where it is, so you don't have to manually go up and move the seat forward yourself ;)

This car looks old I’d never spend that kind of money for a Pacifica , if you drove the Kia Carnival what do you have to think about ?

@@samizarik2235 I’d constantly be thinking why they didn’t hide the door track like the other vans while at the same time they try to say it’s not a van… but it’s kinda obvious with the huge track gap. Would be better if they hid it.

I've been car shopping for the past six months. I have been going back and forth between large and mid-sized SUVs as well minivans. I never, ever thought about buying a minivan because my kids are older now (MS / HS ). However, after going around and around I came to the conclusion that a majority of the large SUVs are awkward to drive, hard to park, and just awful with gas mileage. Unless you have to haul things frequently like a boat or a trailer, they are totally impractical for day to day use, especially if you live in an urban environment. I've test driven them all, and I was shocked at how expensive the Tahoes / Yukons and Expeditions are -- about 80K. That's not even the top of the line Platinum or Denali. 😳 Forget about an ultra lux Navigator or an Escalade -- those are close to 120k. Yikes. I've also looked at the Telluride, Highlander, and Pilot, but they have small, uncomfortable backseats and a tiny trunk when the third row is up. Unless you are 4'1 there is no way you would want to sit in the third row. Plus, the dealers are playing ridiculous games with the market adjustments. (3-7K over MSRP with plenty of people willing to pay it, so no incentive to negotiate.) Somehow I stumbled upon the Chrysler Pacifica and I was pleasantly surprised at how it drove, it looked, and all of the features. Not to mention, you can get a hell of a deal that is below MSRP. A fully loaded limited with the safety sphere, Uconnect Theater Package, and the S Appearance will cost you about 53K OTD. I think you'd be hard-pressed to find an SUV that has the same amount of room and features as the Pacifica that costs anywhere close to that. My kids play sports and have giant sports bags and giant friends, so I can't jam everyone in one of those mid-sized SUVs. If you can just move past the stigma of a minivan, then buy one. They really are the best option for people, even if you don't have little kids or necessarily meet the demographic.

What are your thoughts about reliability? Long term. Thanks.

We are a retired couple and drive a Pacifica. Space, comfort and reliability says it all. I traded a 2016 Ram Sport for a used 2020 AWD Pacifica S Touring L Launch Edition. Although the Pacifica is a new platform, Chrysler/Dodge has longevity in this segment. I felt I no longer required the truck as I sold off most of the toys. Mini Vans are very capable tow vehicles as long as the tongue weight is not exceeded. I kept my 12’ trailer for miscellaneous ventures. Sure I could have bought a Honda,Kia or Toyota but here’s the deal. The last three mentioned are considered “imports” therefore the price of insurance, parts and service is much more costly over the term of ownership. Besides American muscle and built and the fact that all automobile manufacturers are multinationals, I like the thought of supporting our local labourers. I totally understand that some of the others mentioned are also built here but to me,not the same. That said, the Chrysler Pacifica has jumped leaps and bounds over the Caravan of yesteryear. Minivans are hard to beat when it come to road trips short or long.

Hi, I'm confused. I think you said this was the third chrysler pacifica. You were reviewing. When you were trying to stow the seat. And you were trying to move the seat up. There is a button that you push that moves the seat all the way forward it's located towards the bottom of the piller. And after you stow the seat just push the button again and the seat comes back to were it was.

No compact spare in the Pacifica, need to buy a Carnival for that. Looked to be a subwoofer behind that panel.

More wheel than tire on these I like my Grand caravan has 225-65r17. My van has a spare but it under it between to front seats thinking about mounting it on the roof with a diy tire rack as you can only get spare out from driver side under neath wouldn't be to safe if your on side of road on driver side un less you could get off the main road completely. The 3.6 has plenty of power as a family member has a '13 town country van with 275,000 miles 3.6 and still going.my 2016 gets same mileage as this Pacifica.

Honda generally drives better than their Japanese/Korean counterparts. I’ve never driven an Odyssey, or any minivan for that matter, but many analysts think that characteristic even holds true for the lowly minivan. Not sure why the Carnival gets such praise for its looks. To my eye, the Odyssey is the only van it looks better than.

Minivan ? Just buy pacifica no doubt about it nor no confusion about it.

I bought a Pacifica hybrid but the Odyssey was compelling because the drive feel is much better, the visibility was better (felt smaller even though it wasn't), the middle seats are more flexible (can slide sideways to have a clear entrance for the back), and unlike the Sienna you can actually buy one. Sienna was quiet and has great gas milage but has a 2 year wait list. 👎 I'm having twins in 2 months can't wait 2 years.

Definitely in need of a mid-cycle refresh as Hyundai, Toyota and Honda go all in on the minivan for 2024 Model Year. Big fan of the hybrid system for the Pacific despite incredible complexity. Winner: Tesla Model X

Lmao you don’t need awd… a fwd does perfectly well in snow, better gas mileage, plus cheaper to fix it having less parts cause it doesn’t have the awd system.. like why awd? Lmao don’t need it
