Help Me *STOCK THIS TANK!*

There's PEACH for now in my 300 gallon African Cichlid tank. But before releasing that Eyebiter (_Dimidiochromis compressiceps_) from jail and trying him back in the main tank, I want to add some more fish to spread the aggression. Let's take a look at what's going on and you can help me to stock this tank with some beautiful big African Cichlids!

I agrée that the larger population in a Malawi tank has always worked for me . I recently added C.Morrii,C.Borleyi Red Fin,Albino Firefish, a Red Dragon AAA, and a Striggatus all are 8-9cm since that is the size of the others presently in the 300G tank.

Ron’s Ron cichlids , Imperialtropical ( they do have small size for the most) and snake river cichlids will definitely have the size and species you’re looking for and they are great vendors and theirs fishes are healthy.

Had you not had the heater malfunction, where was the starry night going to go? If it was going into the 300, I'd definitely do that again. I know that's not a Lake Malawi cichlid, so I get it if you don't want to go that way again.

Jerry kept one in with ACs and it thrived. Its first stop would have been the 90 gallon to put on some size, then the 210 or 300. They can hold their own with almost any fish once they put on size.

I am starting to view keeping male only African tanks as imposing "Cruel and unusual punishment" on the tanks inhabitants. In trying to satisfy our needs for extra color in our aquariums we are subjecting the fish to very unnatural conditions. With no females, and being locked in a glass box, we force them into cage fights with the rest of their tank mates. Constantly on the defensive, taking serious blows from their tank mates and unable to fulfill their most basic (and fulfilling) biological function of breeding with the opposite sex. I quit Lake Malawi all male tanks because of the personal stress, expense, deaths that are just part of owning these fish. But I do believe anytone who really cares about their fish should consider the injustice we do to the poor fish themselves. I know not a popular opinion, and it is certainly an "inconvenient truth" about keeping these fish. This has been the "elephant" in the room whenever these fish are highlighted IMHO

Never had one, so I can’t say. I have heard that they will bite fingers, so things near the top would probably be okay.
