Super helpful! Thank you for trying to save me from making mistakes lol I still kind of made one. I applied cuticle oil at the end and it made 3 of my nails matte again after the top coat step so I rebuffed them, applied activator and top coat again 😬

Omg, I loved the end of this video...LMAO! That's about right too. I've had to pry open a couple of bottles myself until I learned about using the acetone to wipe around the sides. :) Going to try the Nailboo too...just hope it looks as good as yours does! ;)

I just need to give you a really big Thank you. I’ve got Cerebral Palsy which affects my feet and hands. Nail polish the traditional way is hard for me because of my hands. Going to the salon is expensive and I want to practice making my nails look pretty by myself. At Christmas I had received the nailboo set. I thought it may be easier for me to try dip Your video helped me tremendously. Your instructions helped me and while I know I have to practice to get better. I was able to do a set of nails on my own that looked decent So really thank you so much ❤

This was so helpful. I laughed at your attempts to get the top off the bottle. I did the exact same thing with my husband and never got it off. I just purchased a new bottle and wanted to find out how to prevent this from happening again. THANK YOU!

It's best practice to wipe off the rim of the bottle after each use before putting it away. You can clean the rim with the brush of the cleaner bottle. A bottle glued shut is so frustrating, but I haven't had an issue since I started wiping off the rim.

Practice is key. My first set wasn't the greatest, but the more times you try it the better the set will look and you will learn new tricks along the way.

@@keishabeingforreal8626 I haven't personally, but I have seen pics and talked to people who have tried it on there toes. If you have done shellac or gel on your toes then it's pretty much the same look. But it's easier to do the pour over method on toes than dipping.

I tried Nailboo for the first time yesterday. I wish I had seen your videos before beginning. To make a long story short, the nails on my right hand are blue and not covered well at all and the nails on my left hand are clear and I still made some kind of mistake. My last 2 nails don't shine at all and I've put so much top coat on them, they're thick. This video was excellent for people like me that need to know EVERY detail. Thanks!

Take your time applying the liquids. It’s very easy to miss spots. For the top coat, make sure the activator has fully dried first. It also helps to go over each nail with alcohol before applying the top coat. But do not apply additional coats if you notice it’s not shiny. It’s not like regular polish. Take a moment to wipe off the top coat with acetone or file it off then reapply activator and top coat to get the shine you are looking for.

No, a normal base coat won’t work with dip powder. It has to be a dip base. But if you’ve run out of the base, you can always use the top coat as a quick replacement for the base coat.

My nails grow so fast that I don’t actually wear tips. But I do know you can apply them with either glue or just use the base coat then follow the normal dipping steps if you’re using full coverage tips. Naturally with regular tips, you will have to file them down a bit so they blend with your nail or apply the power in a apex method to blend so there isn’t a noticeable indentation

I purchased the Nailboo kit and while I love the powders the liquids are a terrible. The company was nice enough to send me new liquid bottles but unfortunately I had the same problems. My base coat #1 will open but will not screw closed, the activator bottle will not open at all, and the top coat #3 the cap came off so I was able to pull the brush out but it will not fit back into the bottle. I had to purchase another companies liquids just to use my dip powders from Nailboo. I just wish the company would redesign their liquid bottles. I think that the Nailboo dip powders are great!!

No, a uv lamp is not needed for dip liquids to dry, but you can use gel liquids and a uv lamp with dip powder if you prefer

Yes that’s my husband 😆 he’s a character. Nailboo doesn’t have chunky glitters so there’s no need to worry. You will be fine. And you can use their build powder as a clear until you able to find a clear you like. I still use the build powder over my sets, solid and glitter.

I want to try dip powder but it looks like you have to be super precise when applying all the coats, which I struggle with and which is why I like regular nail polish. I can always use a brush and acetone to clean around my nails to make them look pretty perfect. Also, you said the top coat smells like super glue?! So are these products pretty toxic?

The key to it is to use a cuticle stick or dotting tool. If you get too much product around your cuticle, the stick can clean up that area easily. And filing takes care of the rest. I forgot to answer your second question, I wouldn’t say they are very toxic but the scent can be strong for some. I caught a whiff of it because I leaned in very close, but usually I don’t smell it and I haven’t experienced any allergic reactions.

No, the base powder is only used as the first layer of dip (which is optional) and the final layer of dip to protect your color and design.

I can honestly say I haven’t experienced any damage. I would say the only way you can really damage your nail is by over filing your natural nail bed or not removing the dip after it has starting lifting which would cause a greenie to form due to too much moisture under the nail.
