How To Remove Air Vents On A Honda Civic (8th Gen 2006-2011)

In this video, I show you how to remove the air vents on an 8th Gen Honda Civic. I have the Civic Si coupe, and I show you the process for removing the 2 air vents that are on the passenger side of the car, as well as the small circular vent that is pointed towards the passenger window. It is a really simple process, and can be done really easily with a bit of practice. This is very useful for cleaning the dashboard and the air vents.

This was perfect I just did this while sitting in a parking lot while waiting for a friend to test if I could get it out as the switch slider that turns off the vent completely had stopped working. Once I got it out using this video I was happy to find out they I didn’t need to replace it it was just off of the rotating track and popped it back in just as easy and now it is working like new. You can also wrap black wire tape around the screwdriver to protect your car.

Very helpful! I thought you had to remove the passenger side dash to get at them. Awesome! I damaged mine unwittingly and have gotten new replacements, but haven't found the time to take the dash apart. This doesn't look like it will take more than 10 minutes. Thanks!! Great video!

Thanx man. Had a passenger air bag inflator recall. Honda didn’t put my small circular vent on the top back on evenly. I popped it like you but I put a thin rag over the flat head screw driver. Looks normal again.
