Oster DiamondForce Rice Cooker Review SEE UPDATED INFO: (IT'S TEFLON)

In this video I review my new Oster rice cooker, cooking brown rice. I purchased it as a backup to my Oster DuraCeramic model. I used plain, long grained brown rice which took approximately 42 minutes from start to finish. UPDATE: IT TOOK SOME DIGGING ON OSTER'S WEBSITE BUT CAME TO FIND OUT THIS POT IS LINED WITH TEFLON AND CLAIMS TO BE PFOA FREE. I RETURNED IT.

UPDATE: After some digging on Oster's website through the Q & A section, it turns out the cooking pot is lined with Teflon. I returned it for a refund.

Since you can't find the old model (DuraCeramic) anymore and this one (DiamondForce) is no good because of the Teflon. Do you have a recommendation on another brand that is just as good

@@nickd539 Back in January of this year I picked up a 3qt Instant Pot and have been using it to make rice. I was initially worried that it would stick due to the stainless steel pot but it doesn't. It makes really good rice once you get the time down as it is a pressure cooker rather than just boiling the rice. I'm quite happy with it.

⁠​⁠@@alanbeckett5578It used to be a toxic coating for nonstick products for coating due to a certain component if scratched could lead to adverse health conditions. This product is fine since Teflon products release after 2013 don’t have the PFOA that was causing issues. This user just didn’t do the proper google search or is using old advice.
