Asking for help is especially hard when you are alone, people think you should have the time to keep up. I can say from experience that people with your kind outlook are in short supply. I have had severe depression most of my life, and after an episode when the fog clears, I just sit and cry. You are right about time, and it passes so quickly. I have one friend who keeps my head above water. Because we are close friends she knows when my lights are off and on, so to speak. When I start coming out of the darkness she finds a few hours of 'boredom' to come help. I know how blessed I am to have her, and I hope this family realizes how blessed they are to have found you.

As someone above said, it takes an astonishingly short time for a house to fall into extreme disarray and an unhealthy condition. You note that deferred maintenance even results in actual damage. Really is a wonderful thing you are doing Cambria. You are right, we shouldn’t be so quick to judge. My first thought wasn’t probably the nicest and I am embarrassed to say that. I am a Cancer survivor and was very sick for over a year and if my husband and family hadn’t stepped up to pick up the slack I would of never been able to do it on my own. Truly a blessing what you are doing.

We never know what can cause someone to be in circumstances beyond there control. Medical crisis, health issues can take over a home quickly. Especially when that home is older home they show up faster than one can imagine. Thankfully this family realized they needed help and your kind heart to help them get back on there feet. This is how it should be. Neighbor helping neighbor, being supportive, sometimes even a little goes a long way.

When Covid first hit I got it real bad. I was in bed for 14 days. It took me two years to start cleaning my house the way I wanted it. I just recently started last night as a mama of four It was really hard I do have some mental health issues but I am finally starting to get back on track and I’m keeping myself on the schedule and doing my best. I live in a house built in the 80s, when I moved in about 10 years ago it had been painted and recarpeted, but I recently had water damage and it's lead to a huge interior overhaul with new LVP floors the out out, I had rooms with drywall replaced, my boyfriend and I have painted every baseboard, wall, ceiling ourselves, fresh caulk, new vanities and light fixtures... It's a lot to live through but we are sooo proud that our hands have been all over this property. I'd be soooo excited for someone to come in clean for me because I know the paint, caulk, trim work is easy to follow and makes a huuuuuuuuge difference!! 🎉🎉

Cambria, thank you for your support of this family. Would it be possible for the family to set off "bug bombs" in each room? Open all of the cabinet doors, drawers, closet doors, etc. Close all of the windows in each room, open all of the interior doors. The family would need to stay out of the home for several hours as indicated in the instructions for the "bug bomb" to take effect. The home would then need to be aired out per the container instructions. The family may need to do this several times if not all of the live critters (and eggs) are not killed at one go-around. Hope this information helps this family.

Great video. I remember 24 years ago my secretary from school came by and there was not a path to walk through in my house. My father had just died and I had been caring for him the past two months. She had visited me before when I and my house were not in distress. She was a bit shocked and said why isn’t your husband or kids helping out? I think I felt it was enough that they put up with me being gone, anyway whenever I am depressed cleaning helps me work my way out of it. Thank you for helping these people. Love your channel.

On a different note, Kurd Kutter is fantastic, how you can use it without gloves though is something though. I can’t even spray that stuff without wearing a pair of rubber gloves. Great stuff!
