Henna on Natural Hair

In this video I will be showing how I apply henna to my hair. I wasn't able to record myself mixing it because I didn't mix it at home. To mix it I just added the henna linked below, coconut milk and tea.

My hair loves henna and henna gloss treatments. I really like how henna makes my hair thicker and strong. I have high porosity hair so henna is awesome. Henna has also one of the products that helped me retain and reach waist length.

How do you alternate between the gloss and straight henna?

Henna is very common and very old treatment in Eritrea. Let me tell you how we use it You mix henna with one spoon honey,your favourite oil,1/2 spoon organic coffee powder and yogurt you can also add egg. If you tried it let me know your results.

I shampoo my hair b4 the henna application so it's slightly damp when I apply it. Then use a conditioner to rinse it out

There’s nothing wrong with using it on soaking wet hair. You would be able to get better distribution of the henna that way.

Yes… soaking and damp both work for sure… I totally understand not wanting the dripping onto everything… I usually start damp but keep a spray bottle to add water to sections.

I absolutely love Henna. How long have you been using it and how often? Do you have a certain brand you gravitate towards? How long do you usually let it remain in your hair before rinsing? Your hair is so incredibly thick and healthy! I love it!!! :)

I've been using if for about 4 years on and off. I had a hard time the first few times but now I kind of have the hang of it. I use it 1-2 times a month and leave it in my hair overnight. I added links for the brands that I usually use in the discretion box. Thanks for watching!😊

Use neutral henna. It won’t affect the color of your hair

Did you notice any loosening of your curl pattern? Especially when using Henna with coconut milk?

I didn't notice any change in my pattern. I don't really have a defined pattern to begin with to be honest.

Mix the henna with Amla and aloe Vera powders. It helps with the curl loosening effects of henna. I’ve been using henna for about 2 years and my curls have never looked better.

I didn’t wash my hair before applying the henna. I prefer to apply it to “dirty” hair.

It is actually mor effective on clean hair. The henna binds to the hair. If you put it on dirty hair, it impede to process of the henna.

Yes, I don’t like doing it on freshly washed hair. I find it to be more drying and messy if I do it that way.

Def a type 4 her hair is really long tho can make the curls look/be looser, and it looked like her hair is stretched from twists or braids.
