As I mentioned on two of your R95 30-30 Win videos I am waiting on one in 360 Buckhammer. I now live in Ohio and need a straight wall cartridge. So I am looking forward to trying it out and like you mentioned most places only have those Remington and Federal loads. I will see how it goes and might eventually reload.

Good show a lot of people on fb groups are complaining about the Henry rifle not grouping
@sprucehilloutdoors3 ай бұрын
@@willisblevins4190 I honestly believe Henry makes a great rifle. I showed that it is capable of shooting a good group, that Federal 180 at 100 yards was a great group. I don’t believe it’s the rifle to blame for peoples bad groups, I more believe it’s the lack of quality factory ammo. I could only find Remington and Federal ammo and only in 180 grain and 200 grain. I believe this may shoot better with a 170 grain or even a 165 grain bullet, I don’t believe anyone makes them in this caliber. If more companies start making ammo for the gun I believe with experimentation you could find an even better load for this gun. Thanks for your comment and for watching the video.

Remember, most people that talk about accuracy are trying to do it through iron sights, and not properly zeroed optics. Or they put a red dot on top. Others don't have proper shooting skills either as the trigger pull is not the same as a typical bolt action. I see it all the time at the range people using modern bolt guns missing paper at 25 to 50 yards; a guy was doing it yesterday with the 30 ought 6 and missed four times just trying to get on paper. At 100 yd and 20 rounds later, only three splatter blasts were within 5 in of the target On my rifle, I have a Trijicon acupoint 1x4 mountain with a green triangle reticle as it's perfect for 150 yards or less--I also shoot it suppressed, and non-suppressed. I can reach out to 200 and still obtain a 2.5 MOA. I also have it zeroed at 160 yd. With that said, I typically run PowerShock, or hammer down 150 grain for the 30-30, as well as 170 grain fusion bullets. All of the ammo will group 1.2 or less MOA or less consistently. With that said, I also went through six different cartridges and weights to determine what my rifle like the best.

I've seen other videos, with the same gun and ammo where the groups were much better.
@sprucehilloutdoorsАй бұрын
@@tripleflutz each gun is different, no two guns shoot the same. You have to experiment with your guns to determine which load it likes, mine liked the Federal 180 grain. I shot two deer with it this year so it works for me.

@@tripleflutz I also might add I am not in a competition with other channels or people who have the same rifle and shoot a better group. I’m happy for them, my goal is simply to help other people who may be buying the gun and want to see what loads to try. I spend my own money and time and get paid nothing for making a video, it’s only to help anyone out there who is interested. Again thanks for watching.

@@chriscaddle my Henry liked the Federal 180, the 200 grain were twice the group size as the 180. Each gun is different .
