Eco. evolution is already here, for so many various reasons people becoming organic consumers, it's nice to watch organic shops popping up in every suburbs in Melbourne. They all have many different reasons such as climate change, social welfare and personal welfare, allergic issues, animal cruelty, naturalists, leaving better world for children, and so on and very nice watching the transition, Henryk Skolimowsky was right we are heading better us. I tried first to send a lengthy comment to share my views but KZbin blocked me from posting it, claiming it an invalid argument, I didn't know I was being tested by you tube? Excellent Prof. Murali. I want to add Earth is spinning at around 1050 miles itself and rotating around the Sun by abt 67000 miles. Without that spin, earth cannot sustain lives. So the bodily sustained continuous action of earth without selfishness for billions of years is making us call earth a loving caring mother. So taking her as example if humans live selflessly, the world will not have ecological imbalances.

A good speech, about understanding evolution and it’s influence in collective consciousness. Unfortunately, Darwin’s evolution theory gave an interpretation as “Survival of the Fittest” that I think promoted self-centered thinking and selfishness. தொல்காப்பியம் may be a good start to understand how Tamil ancestors perceived evolution.
