Very interesting character. Have there not been any critics of Albert Camus either during his time or later ? It is possible a hidden thread of sadism ran through his fabric of life right through, either consciously or unconsciously. Opportunities, expectations, failure, frustrations and extra- ordinary fulfillment permeates through every man's life. If he found life was absurd, then there is every possibility of his having attained the height of failure in every walk of life he ventured in. It is quite natural even for Mother Theresa to have felt that all of life's ambitions and struggle are meaningless in the end. Perhaps even Gandhi may have entertained such a thought had he remained alive till nature permitted him.

Sometimes I felt very disappointed Tha t I didn't achieve anything because I am women, but when I came across sisyphus complex, in greek mythology sisyphus pushing a small hillock upward a mounti, then rolling it downwards, again again doing the same thing repeatedly, I read it 2016-17, then I understand this things is common in life for both genders and become content. So, Albert Camus helped me to overcome the boringness of my day to day life. Yes life is absurd. 6-10-23.

If everyone in this world whole heartedly accept this philosophy, this world would come to a halt...... Though I understand that this is correct to an extent, we also need to understand that this whole world has a lot of living beings and we are one among them..... We are at our will. We can choose to live or die. We can also not marry and give birth to children... Then this world will be free from Humans in sometime.... This life we live has not been chosen by us but, it's been given to us. If we find it absurd then, we can do good to others, help people in distress, stop hoarding wealth, live every day with full enthusiasmke people understand this if not fully at least to some extent. Do this till the end of our life.....

Sir, I am given to understand that the novel "The Plague" is written with reference to German (Nazi) occupation of Algeria and the fight of the victims against that. The human tendency to occupy others' territory and dominate them (in all respects, including their philosophy & culture) is explained in the last paragraph of the novel. It may raise its ugly head anytime in future also. The sufferings of the people is depicted in the death of a boy. The father enquires whether the boy suffered a lot before death. In some circles this novel is considered as the greatest ever written. I am astonished to find that you have explained it considering only the contents of it. Some say that Camu didn't die because of the accident as it was a planned accident/murder. Comment on Existentialism is simply brilliant. But you may have to consider the novel in the light of the above points also. Thanks! -A. Janakiram

Respected Sir, the wick of my lamp is kindled by your presentation. I express my thoughts: If Absurdity is a mathematical equation, he, Mr Albert Camus, equates it to emptiness or zero, but by virtue of being a writer there is an element of Futurology, a small delta of hope, so he may not have prepared to hold to Philosophical Suicide, but he must have experimented suicide with his characters, an amazing experiment. We all are his character Sisyphes in cycling and recycling our annual events to be in touch with happiness. Why should an individual be a Rebel when the door of his room is wide open, unless his legs are in clutches?

Respected Sir, In the plot of "The Stranger", the character shoots the Troublemaker and pitched the heat of the sand as a reason. Interestingly there was a quantum of time between two shots in your narrative. Can I hold in my cup the view that the character took a decision on the marriage proposed by his girlfriend and walked out of the proposal through the fault of the murder? If the marriage had happened would the heat of the sand be radiated on the girlfriend?
