I think you guys played well and did a great job - hopefully some really good fun playing against the #1 and putting up a good fight is something to be proud of for sure. Perhaps try again? Bigger map, perhaps like pilgrims or something with a big map ? With 4 people could be really good with the less experienced brothers being fairly protected early game ?

Yeah, I feel like castles are really value in these 1v4s. Lower elo players don't handle them well, plus they give map control which is really important, and don't take up any of your very limited pop space. Plus there's usually tons of stone on these maps once you take over the other players' bases.

yeah the amount of extra stone on the sides was a big advantage for sure. and the fact they did not take it. if they did not castle drop Hera on purpose to make it more fair, respect. 1v4 and two castledrops instead of the donjons would be much more difficult to handle.

Pikes aren't a very good offensive option if you have limited pop you need to focus on damage not defense

I live near a region called Mittelrheintal in central Germany where you find one castle next to another. Most of them have been build in the 12th/13th century and many of them have been destroyed but nevertheless the princes and monarchs 800 years ago would have been proud of you 😂

I feel like they had a good strategy going into it, with lots of army spam in early castle age along with the donjon rush to try and overwhelm you before you could get cooking. But your defense was just strong enough so you could eventually secure the middle and push out from there with the ideal army comp. Well played game from you and the team of four!

Thanks for the content! I don't think the base game allows it, but is there a mod that allows different players to have different pop limits? You didn't need it this game, but it would give you a better chance in the late game in these 4 v 1s if you could build 300 - 400 against their combined 800 pop.

Give them all a bigger pop limit? The skill in booming/massing army is very hard to master. Huge armies + onager sounds like a great video

@@Jamesh-riffs Define experienced; they were 1000 elo. It's still not easy, it's 4x the military units they can spam and carelessly too in comparison if it gets to that point. But they don't exactly play with any plan or ability to control the game or dictate in any capacity.

Hera when your 3 /4 Vs 1 it's not skill based it's pop cap, if you can have no limit pop I think you can win a lot more if it gets late

Couldn't agree more. No limit is the way to go at least if there's like more than one 1k+'s in the opponents team. Makes a lot of sense to play it fair and square with the pop no cap.

he doesnt always need the option. i think it also becomes sort of a personal challenge at some point tbh... if theres no pop cpa, itd be very much unlike othe rgames since ou dont gotta balance eco and shit much anymore, you just keep on making vills... forever or sth ? same for army, i think itd actually be harder to manage even thp he coulsd prolly do a good job with it... would be an interesting video for sure tho, but it only rlly matters once he does reach pop cap, which means if he cant get out of castle /feudal, thatd be how to counter it@@why_wait

hey hera, just wanted to ask you or your editor if itd be possible to change names. this format is great and kinda like with t90, if you have some spare time or wanna watch sth while eating, thats the kinda content i consume, BUT with the names all being the same and the thumbnails being similar style, it becomes hard to know what ive and not watched yet. would it be possible to have you make a playlist with them and title them with numbers (kinda like episodes) so we can better keep track of that ? or maybe change the title around a lil bit unless you saw it brings more clicks ? greetings - comanda

What would be nice is if you could have pop cap increased by the amount of players you're up against, like this game should be 200 x 4, even a 50 additional cap per player would be big. Players think they need to rush you, when in reality they should simply outnumber you.

I think people are figuring out a meta to beat you (and writing this before I watch this one). Let the best two players feudal rush you to keep you from causing too much damage and to keep you at home and to give time for the weaker player or players to boom and get an army. Two medium players can attack you from two sides with different units, forcing you into multiple counter units, stressing your ability to see everything, and making it harder to use your micro to your advantage. (Halfway through, your score is higher than the next two combined. I am now predicting a win.)
