I completely agree. People forget dogs are emotional animals and someone like Winnie to take her one and only friend away. Wow. So sad. She was obviously thrilled to see Bobbi again. No one tells you how heartbroken Winnie was when her buddy left for Home again. 😢 As a working farm I’m surprised they didn’t keep her on in the barn as a mouser.

Why is it a shame you ask? Because. To quote my own comment: I can't help but think - if you truly believe that animals FEEL, the same as humans do, why make an animal have to go through the pain of losing YOU (the rescuer) on top of everything else in their short life?? I admire rescues for sure but it's another level of heartache added to their emotions, if you really think about it. Or maybe not - it's true even if you just think about it!!

Thank you. So much separation anxiety in these various animals' lives already. I like these channels, but I can't stand how these supposedly 'happy' videos end up with an animal being re-adopted or re-rescued yet AGAIN...or being separated from other animals/people they have bonded with.seems very frequent. Not many of these videos appear to be from actual pet owners - they're all rescuers. Except like, the reptile, fish or insect ones lol

Funny, we had a dachshund named Winnie. I still have a picture of her one year we took out to a farm for a picnic. There were a herd of cows up against the fence next door. She was curious and went up to them to sniff and "say hello". She had never seen cows before that I know of. This Dodo story was a great testimony how animals love other species. They all have their own souls.

@@rebaeasler lol! It's like our doxie Winnie really was sweet and respected us around our home. In fact we had a cat we had to give away because it kept viciously attacking Winnie and she did little to defend herself. I thought that she really needed and depended on us. But one day she jumped up on the deck with a headless baby rabbit. It was gory yet I was very proud of her keeping her wild instincts. And now I think whenever I took her out on a leash for a walk, she never walked in a straight line but sniffed all over the place. Then she would stubbornly sit down and not move. lol! Now I know why dachshunds never win the Thanksgiving Day dog show. And also you think that their ancestors were bred to dig up and kill badgers, maybe twice as big as they are. Anyway, doxies have a keen sense of sovereignty and I love them for it!

Those animal friendships are so wonderful and so rare that once they were found, they should never be separated. After finally finding the one friend that opened up both lives, to take them apart is like taking one step forward and then 3 steps back! It's almost as bad as not being "Rescued", in the first place. I'm really shocked that keeping them together was not their #1 priority! Especially when they got a second chance to see how important the friendship actually was!

People can't adopt each and every animal so they are making sure that they could help maximum animal to overcome their depression anxiety to lead a good future life when those animals are adopted by animal loving people. Argh. Us as humans, we understand the premise of a foster system, and know the positive outcomes behind it, but animals don’t. The fact that they bonded so well, especially with a dog that has such a deep fear of other animals. (It must be a bit of a lonely feeling.) Anyway, this is a special/unique situation, that’s for sure. So it’s a bit sad to see them build that bond, let them become reliant on one another in the home, and then (in her mind) have it snatched away.💔 Again, the dog doesn’t understand the foster system… They just know that their best friend/family member is gone all of a sudden. To see them reunite was so incredibly sweet but I wonder if it reopened the same wound for the pup. Like, “YAYYY! My Bobbi is finally back!” Then, yet again, “wait…. where did she go??” 😥🥺

@@auntiec6294 do you know how cruel the egg and dairy industries are. Dairy cows are forcibly bred/raped every year so they will produce milk. The babies are taken from their mother after birth, not allowed to have their mothers milk. The Male babies are shot, killed by blunt force trauma or left to starve to death because they don't produce milk. Cows are very maternal animals and cry and grieve for weeks after their babies have been taken from them. Newly hatched Male chicks are ground up alive, gassed or suffocated to death because they don't lay eggs. Are you participating in the ANIMAL HOLOCAUST ? No excuse for animal abuse !

Because some people become militant with their beliefs. Some rescue people are so into rescuing the next animal that they don't take into consideration how much current foster animal have bonded to what the animal obviously thinks is it's new home. I don't buy into it. Sure when you take in a starved dog and get it healthy and to new home quickly that's one thing. But this...I'm sorry I even watched the video because it was cruel not kind what they did and Dodo for publicizing it

Because that's how fostering works. You have to have space to rescue more animals and find them good homes. You can't get attached.

Working dogs have to be introduced to and desensitized to the animals they'll be working with as soon as possible. Like, bringing things that smell like the animals at first, then bringing them in a basket to meet the animals. Instincts only go so far and humans have to do the rest.

When I was growing up we had two dogs and a cat. Our female dog always would pick up the cat bring her to the bed and clean him. Cat didn’t mind and would lay there until she was done. Super funny to see a Saint Bernard pick up a cat just to clean it 😂😂😂.
