There’s a used blue 2020 near me should I go for it or wait to get a new brz/gr86?
@jakef7773 жыл бұрын
@@lethalpenguin61 in my honest opinion I would definitely go Veloster N. They are both great cars but the Veloster is on a whole other fun level. I had an 86 for a while and I was looking forward to the new GR86 and BRZ but to be honest I was disappointed. Yes they gave it more power but I was still wanting more. They should given it at least 250hp. The handling is fantastic as expected but I just wanted more power. The Veloster on the other hand is an amazing machine all around. Especially the new DCT. I’m currently waiting for my 2022 Veloster N DCT to arrive at the dealer. The N has a crazy sounding stock exhaust and there are so many different parameters to play around with as far as suspension, steering and power. To me it’s the best bang for your buck.

@@301bruce Manuals are a blast to drive but the Veloster N is just better with the DCT. It’s faster than the manual and the DCT has the over-boost function. The shifts are really aggressive. Hyundai did an awesome job with it.

@@ShuffleToExpresss Not necessarily, just incredibly firm. It's excellently tuned for handling, so it's not skittish; however, it doesn't have an "off" switch. Standard mode is firm, and N mode is racetrack harsh. If you lived in the South like me, it's not a huge deal. I imagine on more pockmarked northern roads, it might be a bit much. Hope that helps!

I'm biased but the VN is the best damn hatch in years and continues to be the best value on the market. Great video! How does the transmission on the DCT model work when in SPORT or N Mode, as far as shifting throughout the rev range? Is it left entirely to the driver to shift at any desired point throughout the range (as if driving a true manual transmission), or does the onboard computer interfere with driver input at certain revs if no input is detected from the driver?
@youcangetsum68712 жыл бұрын
It’s gonna shift on its own unless you put it in manual mode but it’s not really necessary as we know that we can’t out shift a computer.

I'm sorry, but the Hyundai and the Mazda have very different attitudes. The N is youthful, powerful and wants to play. It's eager to do so. The 3 Turbo is more like a retired boxer who has developed refined tastes as he's gotten older. No doubt, he can put any challenger down on the mat with a couple of quick rapid-fire punches even now. But he's not eager to mix it up, anymore. He'd rather relax, be more laid back. The power is there, to be sure. But there's no eagerness to use it.
