Thanks in advance if you decide to respond!

After 2 months with 2021 2Dr Rubi, my thoughts: Steel Bumper - No, went plastic & upgraded to RH4x4 aluminum LED - Yes, no question. Fog lights also upgraded on standard bumper Keyless Entry - Yes & I forgot too. Not daily driver but would be nice Mopar Mats - Yes, but easy upgrade after. Work amazingly well! Rock Sliders - Come std on Rubi. LOD Destroyers better for GF/wife Alpine Sound - No, Rubi comes with 7” screen so went stock Mopar RV Flat Tow Wiring - $200 dealer install worth every penny Other: Trailer Package - to get 4 prewired Aux switches that come with Winch - added with RH4x4 bumper. 1st upgrade if you wheel 67Designs - holds phone w/ fav wheeling app. Works amazingly well Tires & wheels - dealer will trade if you make deal ahead of time Lift - Mopar to keep warranty but only if needed. Jury still out on this

Great video. Thanks. What are your thoughts on aftermarket bumpers vs factory steel bumpers? Aftermarket bumpers I feels have additional benefit of adding aux lights; and perhaps aluminium being lighter than steel and doesnt rust
@drivenmad20894 жыл бұрын
For sure there’s definitely some really good and probably better aftermarket options out there. But typically there more expensive than the factory one. If you’ve got the spare change then absolutely! but a lot of the bumpers that have good quality by good manufactures that I’ve seen have been $2k or more for one bumper. Where as if you order the Mopar one from the factory it’s 1600 for both front and rear steel. But I’m not against aftermarket bumpers at all. I actually plan on upgrading my rear bumper to the AEV rear bumper and tire carrier. Thanks for watching!

Even with the 35’s on the rubicon it never “needed” to be lifted to fit them. Thank you for the tips. I have the same Jeep that you do and I wish mine came with keyless entry too. But I am the 2nd owner so I didn't get a choice of options. Question: is there a reason why you didn't upgrade the bumper to include a winch plate and a bar to protect the grill?
@drivenmad20894 жыл бұрын
I didn’t put a bar there simply because I’m just not a fan of the looks most of them have. As far as the winch plate goes, I can always add that once I add the winch. Thanks for watching!
@NoGasWelcomeAboard4 жыл бұрын
Agree with Mat on looks of most aftermarket bars. I went “free” plastic with ordered Rubi, then upgraded to RockHard4x4 aluminum for it’s simple install, recessed winch arrangement, small bar with two tabs for aux lights and lighter weight. Initially chose it for the no base plate needed tow-behind-RV capability, but very happy with the look. Watch for holiday sales to get a healthy discount, since it’s not cheap.

@drivenmad20893 жыл бұрын
@@michaela.5363 it definitely is a price jump. But like is said, the sport S out of the box will go places most people don’t think it will. Then you can add a small lift and some 35’s and boom! So I want a manual for my first car but I think that it would be hard to learn. What would you recommend for a new driver manual or auto?
@drivenmad20894 жыл бұрын
I think it depends. If you never driven anything before Than it will be harder to learn how to drive a manual while learning how to do the rest of it. If you already know how to drive, then a manual is just adding one more step. But also it depends on you too. I wanted to learn right away so I did both just driving others cars while also driving a auto. If you have a good open space to practice in with not a lot of traffic then you can start with a manual and get used to it before heading out on the road. Lot of deferent variables
@brianblackmore16784 жыл бұрын
It's no different than other manuals and if you're going to learn you have to start somewhere. 🙂 Having roads with less aggressive traffic helps, and don't pull out in front of traffic until you've learned (don't want to stall it). Two things. Flat and level it's hard to stall if you release the clutch pedal slowly without the accelerator. It basically goes into crawl mode and you can give it gas afterwards. Second you'll probably want to do a pedal sensor recalibration, which takes no special equipment and can be done in a couple minutes from the driver's seat. Otherwise take it slow but plan to shift it like a sports car moreso than a truck because the shift points with the 3.6 engine are kinda high.

I've been looking at buying another Jeep, the last one I bought brand new was a CJ7 back in 1987 for $9,000 new. What I find really disgusting about Dodge / Jeep besides their asshole "Take it, or Leave it" Sales managers. (I bought a brand new a 2019 392 Challenger Scat Pack) is their rip off, fuck you prices of all their Packages, $1465 for LED headlights??? WTF! $1745 for Steel Bumpers??? My CJ7 had stock "i beam" steel bumpers. Harley Davidson plays the same rip off game. I bought a aftermarket LED headlight for my Electra Glide which is the same 7 inch as what Jeeps use for around $50. about five years ago. Works great! Replaced the stock 3.5 inch driving lights with LED ones for a fraction of what Harley was selling them for. F****** Jeep makes you buy the LED package to get the front facing $595 camera ($595 plus $1465 LED $2060 for a front facing camera with 2 each $50 LED headlights for $2060.
