That card looks terrible. Pretty easy to tell this deck was going to do this bad seeing it in the list.

The Dowser is good, this deck on the other hand, is not. Maxtortion made a really good video with a Jeskai list a while back. Part of the issue right now is that the format is screwed with one deck not being about 40% of the meta which skews everything. It's really hard to play a deck with a longer game plan in Legacy right now. When we get some bannings, Dowser gets better.

You have been really trying to make Leyline Dowser work. What do you think about Ripples of Undeath, which seems stronger to me (though it has a color requirement)?

The problem with Ripples is that it costs you 3 life per card and has it's "activation" set to a fixed timing. I think Ripples may have a niche place in a GY centric deck a little like Hogaak or something. I've got something cooking along these lines of course

@@crucible_of_words Sylvan Library cost 4 per card and saw play for a long time (though not really any more). With a deck even somewhat utilizing the graveyard, I think Ripples can give a lot of value (Murktide/Delve cards, Delerious cards, etc.). I don't know if Ripples will be good enough for Legacy, but I feel like it is in the realm of playable, like Leyline Dowser and Staff of the Storyteller.

@@GatekeeperDatuck I think Ripples needs a slow format to work, so hopefully with some bannings it'll be worth a try. The 3 life and 1 mana is a lot is every turn to draw a card, especially in a format of wastelands pressuring mana. Library also has the added bonus of giving you lots of cards all at once if you need them. Like I said before, if you can leverage the card into hand as well as the graveyard stuff, then you can really start cooking, and I've got another way to squeeze more of it in mind too... Once I recover from this illness I'll work on it some more, pretty wiped at the moment tho

Chant targets whereas Silence doesn't, so Silence works through The One Ring
